Tarriffs can tilt the balance back towrds us. Nixon the republican slapped on tarriffs when the balance of trade was against us.

But Obama won't even declare China a currency manipulator-despite the fact that they manipulate their currency and fix it down to the cent. I am just tired of obama . Voting for republicans is like hiring a hooker and thinking she/he is in it for the love. Voting for dems is like marrying someone and discovering he/she is a hooker, who told you what you wanted to hear and then turns out to be a hooker who is after your wallet.

Oh and the Chinese actually respect their hookers more than their politicians, per a recent poll.

So that means Chinese politicians are much more respected than US politicians.

I forgot that it's all Obama's fault. It's the obvious answer to Walmart's dominance, mistreatment of workers and continued bribes to whomever they can...

http://walmart1percent.org/distorting-our-democracy/

What amazes me is that Walmart has grown so large since the first store opened at the beginning of the Obama administration.

It's all Obama's fault. I also blame him for the crappy coffee that the corner market sells. If he paid more attention to ME, and MY needs, the world would be a better place.

Or... isn't it possible that these problems would still exist, even be larger, if a republican administration was still in control? Isn't it possible that giving this wealthy family the tools and tax breaks to dominate the retail system is hurting us all - and allowing them to continue their tactics unrestrained?

Just a thought.

Obama has been power for 4 years and counting. The first two he had pretty much absolute majority. He focused on health care reform-which is needed-but not the most urgent thing of the day.

Now in my field-IT- Obama has been very good. He has become very strict in issuing H1B and L1 visas-the fee has gone up by 400% or more. People who are here, have to prove they are continuosly employed and the rejection rates are through the roof. This has actually put a floor on the salaries and hourly rates. The IT/corporates have been lobbying heavily to lift the ceiling. Of course, bringing in hundreds of thousands of foreigners every single year in the field will depress wages to what a waiter in a high end restaurant will make-we gotta eat.

So me personally, I am very happy with his actions. But what perplexes me is his unwillingness to talk about his actions-he clouds it and says he is cracking down on fraud and quality candidates will get in. Why not just say-Americans are suffering and so as President , my first priroity is Americans-is that unpatriotic these days??

I am just irritated with him , becuase in the 2008 election, he opnely stated the case for protections and said he would pass legislation on that. But I hear nothing from him on that aspect. Just a few million manufacturing jobs back and the resultant suppliers/restaurants/other businesses catering to that and the resultant decline in welfare/food stamps etc would be phenomenol. But he keeps mouthing republican philosophies and that is why I am tired of him.

We need to have a national dialogue on this-not gun control or abortion or birth control or gays. This is far more important and yet no one will talk about this. Now given the two choices-I prefer the dems actions-especially in my field, but why not stand tall and talk about it-especially when you stood on that position in your first election and won?????

I always assumed that WalMart bribes any and all the officials wherever they put stores. I hope that is the case, otherwise there are a lot of really freakin' stupid elected people that give an awful lot of money, perks, and freebies to them.

Let me get this straight: You and your Republican right-wing cohorts in congress vote against the Obama agenda every chance you get. And then you have the gall to complain when Obama does not get his program done?

You can't undo the damage of 30 years of increasingly right-leaning Republican policies in 4 years. Why is he not getting all the changes done to undo these policies -- it is because of all the people like YOU that obstruct Obama and Democrats every step of the way.

I tell you, right-wingers have absolutely no shame about being completely wrong, and they do not care one bit if 99% of the country goes to pot, as long as they get theirs.

Oh and another thing pissing me off today is that Obummer is offering social security cuts as part of some grand/stupid bargain. Do we try and cut the defense budget? Nope-but hey lets cut social security and even Reagan was against it. Here is Reagan in his own words saying social security has nothing to do with the deficit. On social security issue-I would rather vote Reagan than Obama-this isn't the first time Obama has offered to put SS on the chopping block.

I happen to vote democrat far more than I do republican. But it is your kind -on both sides of the aisle-that has led to this mess. As long as your guy points fingers at the other side and says I tried , but they prevented me from doing my job, because-fill in the excuse-then you accept that.

Your anger must be at your guy. If you are a manager or a business owner and your employee does nothing but give you excuses, how long will you tolerate that??? In the same way-whichever side of the aisle you are-these are public servants-aka our servants/employees. We should demand performance from them-not make excuses for them.

I wish I could find acushy job like that, where all I have to do is show up and blame the other guy for my lack of performance.
