Obamacare would never have passed (even with the Democrat majorities in Congress) if Obama and the Democrats told the truth and didn't lie their asses off saying that we could expand the safety net, keep or plans, doctors AND reduce our premiums.

Ditto for the Democrats who think we can maintain our entitlement Ponzi schemes simply by raising taxes.

Ditto for the Democrats running bankrupt cities who think they can dig out from bankruptcy without reforming public sector union pensions. Just raise taxes, reduce services, stop paving roads and watch the cities burn to the ground.

What truths are more important than these?

It's no secret there is liberal bias there. Sure they ridicule Democrats occasionally, but not nearly to the same degree as they do Republicans. If you are looking for a middle of the road comedian, Jay Leno is probably the closest to it. Daily Show is very Democrat biased. They won't even entertain idea of not agreeing with principles of liberalism.

Liberal bias is often mistaken for intelligent content. Given that most conservative media is made to be intentionally ignorant, its not uncommon for those whom consume conservative media to be suspicious of any programming that is made above the 6th grade comprehension level.

The Tea Party is a astroturf cover and not a real political entity. They also just about singlehandedly discredited the entire GOP. As such any claims that they "tell the truth" is null and void.

The Tea Party were responsible for one of the biggest Republican electorial sweeps in the Republican party's history in 2010 winning them back the House and giving them the majority of State governerships and legislatures.

The Tea Party wing are responsible for actually getting some real spending cuts with the "sequester" where Obama is even now lamely trying to take credit for reducing the deficit.

Say what you want about them and their percieved popularity with the Comedy Central dopes, but the Tea Party have been successful in changing the national discussion to limiting the size and scope of government instead of growing it.

The only reason that today American Christians aren't lynching blacks and burning witches is that god-fearless atheists and damnable secularists don't let them get away it. But we had to fight tooth and nail for 400 years to make that happen, and we're still not done!

Of course, you won't be able to. You'll state a lie from a Democrat, but Democrat and liberal aren't the same thing. You might state a leftist lie like, "a man can rape a women with his eyes", but you won't be able to find a single liberal lie. There aren't any.

And if you're still confused about the difference between liberals, Democrats, leftists, socialists, communists, and progressives, just read any of the many posts in which I clarified what these things are and how none of them are the same thing.

You want an example of a liberal lie? The statement, "A society where people run around nude is one that is less likely to be attacked by an outside forces; therefore, we should remove all anti-nudity laws.". That statement would be a liberal lie if anyone in all of human history actually made it.

Another example? The statement, "The freedom to clone oneself for the purpose of reproduction would end rape.", would be a liberal lie if anyone were to actually make that statement.

As I've said, no liberal lie has ever been told in the entire god-damn history of the human race. The left lies. The right lies. Democrats lie. Republicans lie. Socialists lie. Communists lie. But nobody lies about liberal principles because there is no reason to. Liberalism is so easily defensible that no lies are needed.

But hey, prove me wrong. Show me one common liberal lie. Something that more than one random crazy person you just paid has said. Some liberal -- not socialist, not leftist -- lie told by The Daily Show, MSNBC, Elizabeth Warren, or any liberal.

I've given you two examples of what would constitute liberal lies if any liberal actually said them. Now give me at least one damn example of an actual liberal lie.

Wrong. Prior to the 20th century, any atheist would stay quite about his disbelief least he be arrested for it. Even during the first half of the 20th century, atheists could be arrested as communist, or at least shunned by society, prevented from working, prevented from voting should they make their beliefs known.

This is just like the gay community, which is why you see no big civil rights movement on any issue advocated by gays before the late 20th century.

I know you want to someone show that atheism causes people to do bad things and become evil, but history shows the exact opposite. They are far less likely to end up in jail or commit violent crimes.

What do you think 3rd trimester abortions are used for? Depending on whose numbers you believe they are somewhere between .04% and .8% of abortions. Most are for conditions incompatible with life, a baby that won't live even if carried to term. Pretty much every state limits them. This is a pure bullshit argument.

Want to reform? Including bombing clinics and killing people? Yes I would call that pretty intolerant. How about Frank Silva Roque, Scott Roeder, Jim David Adkisson, Paul Jennings Hill, Eric Rudolph, James Charles Kopp, John C. Salvi for the short list of american christian terrorists who have killed their fellow citizens in the last 10 years. Want a long list? Want to keep throwing stones?

Let's go over your mistakes.
1. Obama is less a liberal than Dick Nixon was.
2. The ACA is not a liberal policy. Liberals do not support
a. Forcing people to buy private products. That's not liberty.
b. Forcing the young (and poor) to pay for the old (who own most of the valuation of stocks, housing, bonds, etc.)
3. The health care issue in an economic one, not a social one, and therefore cannot be a liberal statement.

Liberalism is about social issues like
1. Civil rights
2. Getting rid of all victimless crimes
3. Transparency in government
4. Accountability in government
5. The rights of individuals trumping the self-interest of the majority

Now you may, and probably do, disagree with many liberal principles such as
1. Men should be able to run around naked in public even if children are around.
2. Gays should be able to have gay sex.
3. All people have the same rights, including the right to marry, even gays and interracial couples.
4. Anyone should be able to publicly smear the American flag in human feces and set fire to it.
5. The government should not be able to coerce anyone into any religious doctrine including by posting the Ten Commandments in court rooms.

Maybe you even find some of these principles offensive. But there are no lies going around about any of these principles, and that's why you can't think of any.

If I were to say that gay sex cured AIDS, that would be a liberal lie, but no liberal says that.

2. You are once again confusing left vs right culture and race wars with liberalism.

I oppose Affirmative Action precisely because I'm a liberal. To a liberal, race should not be a decision maker for any political decision at all for any reason. To a liberal, the government should not even be allowed to know what your race is if at all possible. Liberals are, by definition, race agnostic precisely because we hold the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment sacrament. The 14th Amendment is even more important than the First.

Again, a liberal lie would be something like "human cloning is safer than traditional reproduction", which isn't true yet, but given inevitable advancements in technology will eventually be true. But until then, liberals aren't saying that.

Yep, so far, no liberal lies ever heard by man.

I suggest you spend about 2 minutes lifting the cover of the Tea Party to see what its funded by. The Tea Party is nothing more than a front. It was intentionally and purposively engineered to tell eager believers one thing ( that all things liberal are socialist and that the GOP can do no wrong) while in the back room the umbrella organizations and corporate lobbys and conservative billionaires spending on behalf of their monied interests use the results to effectively use the government as a means to more carefully control legislation that would otherwise hurt their business.

One would not even need to even do as I suggest and follow the money trail. Various Tea Party sites have stories that easily lead to this conclusion. Story after story tends to follow the same subjects: Energy, healthcare, anti-union material, the EPA, and so on. ALL items that have historically meant costly results for the energy, healthcare, manufacturing,and other industries. All of those articles and stories are of course written under the guise of "Protecting our freedoms" or " making government smaller" but the reality of the situation is these are simply issues that the controlling interests whom sponsor the Tea Party want the purposively selected demographic who can be counted on to believe these things ( usually conservatives) to believe and in turn do the work for them by voting against these items and voting in politicians who will also help these monied interests further.

No liberal would ever say that a person cannot criticize, insult, or disrespect a president. Liberals firmly believe in the right to express extremely offensive opinions regardless of whether or not the liberal agrees with them!

That's why we liberals say the KKK has a Constitutional right to march even though we think they are complete assholes. The liberal response to a KKK march is to hold a counter-rally and hold up photographs showing KKK lynchings. The leftist response is to use the violence of the state to prevent the KKK rally.

I do not like labels but in general i believe in a live and let live Laissez-faire approach to social, and economic issues. And I like the tds and cr comedy news, not so much the cartoonish sketches but more the commentary.

I merely meant to imply that I personally have been labeled liberal and conservative based on people's perspective so I can't properly accept either label. Therefore John Stewart is not a liberal in the classical sense as you describe it.

However, most "liberals" are quite happy taking away liberties, such as the right not to buy insurance, the right to bear arms, the right to drink raw milk, the right to not be vaccinated, the right to smoke, the right to do cocaine, the right to not pay for someone elses abortion, the right to drink a glass of soda larger than 16 ounces, even in New York City. Wait maybe most "liberals" are ok with cocaine. At least they got something right.
