You might have seen the billboards or Facebook ads, sponsored by the Montana Meth Project, depicting scabbed, wrinkled faces with rotting teeth and the words Meth: Not even once, plastered across the bottom of the frame. Or maybe youve heard the media horror stories about how addictive methamphetamine, or meth, can be and how recklessly it “destroys young lives.” Its easy to fall for the emotional hysteria surrounding meth, since these days it’s the drug warriors’ scapegoat drug of choice, but there is no empirical evidence to support the claims that meth causes physical deformities, rots your teeth or that...

Try it, you'll like it. None of the bad stuff really happens.

Drugs good, drug haters bad, narrow minded puritans, just trying to keep you from having fun and partying.

Cash only, please, cha ching!

Wtf?

Is the sky yellow today? Black?

The salon editor the let this get published needs to be publicly shamed while the author gets a public kick to the nuts.

The teeth rot due to the manner in which meth is smoked. The lips get discolored because the glass pipe is too hot. The sores are because meth creates hallucinations and the meth user thinks there's bugs crawling all over them and they scratch the "bugs" to the point of breaking skin.

I agree that drugs should be decriminalized, but the author is either a jackass for purposely writing false stuff or he's a complete moron.

That guy is full of shit, saying that the Crack epidemic was over blown in the 80's. The politicizing, the criminalizing and everything that went along with that, was way over blown. They should have been cutting off the supply into the US, and ordering rehab, and ordered relocation upon release.

Crack was a serious social issue as well as public safety issue.
For starters, anything that wasn't tied down, was fair game for those crack heads. They could not control them selves, if they wanted to get high, and though for a minute that your stock car stereo could fetch $10 or $20 at the pawn shop. They wouldn't have hesitated to smash a brick through your window and rip it out. The guy could be your neighbor or family, it didn't matter.

Pill heads, that have been fed pills by Doctors at various points in their lives, and are now hooked on them. Up until a few years ago, had a relatively easy access to cheap pills. But recently the Investigative journalists have exposed it, but missed the cause and effect. They closed down the pill mills. As a result those people are spending a few hundred a day just on a pills. As a result more and more people are being brazen thieves, robberies, and violent mugging people to get money to score more pills on the Street.

Meth heads get open sores, because they itch, then scratch and dig into their skin, and keep just scratching away thin layers of flesh.

This is the other extreme. Drugs should be decriminalized. But to say they do not affect a person at all is not right. They are two different things.

It's a scam? Gotta go, off to do some meth now...

Meth is evil. It ruins lives. Meth turned my former dance partner into an ugly and sad human being. Also, meth labs cause environmental destruction and cancer. A completely selfish and stupid drug. I don't believe in criminalizing drugs, except I do believe in criminalizing meth labs. There is no known way to make meth without destroying the environment and causing cancer for blocks near a a meth lab. So, if you use meth you are supporting a meth lab, so until that problem can be fixed meth should be as illegal as polluting the ground water or dumping oil into a drain, or letting a nuclear spill happen. http://www.livescience.com/23721-meth-lab-toxins-cleanup.html

Is it also a myth that I am funding the tens of millions of poor souls that the sadistic fucking doctors are prescribing meth to? And the drug makers that profit from the adderal sales,,,,are they a myth also?

Thanks, obamacare supporters. Another meth addict is born everytime a doctor scribes some adderal
