Yeah, Bush was the reason Obama won so handily. it was anything but Bush mode and we got a Bush on steroids. Bush must be having the last laugh now.
Every new president will be the worst, regardless of affiliation. No matter what they do they can't stop the decline of Western economies in the inevitable leveling out with the rest of the world.
In Obama's case, he had a no win with Iraq. He couldn't leave quickly enough for the US's sake, but it has recently been proven to be too quick for Iraq's sake.

- Destroyed the middle class and impoverished the vast majority of Americans like Reagan

If economic policies even are a blip on your radar in spite of the immense human and civil rights violations, then I would say your priorities are fucked up.
Both Bush and Obama...
1. Executed illegal wars that resulted in the deaths of over one million innocent civilians including women, children, and infants.
2. Practice torture on human beings.
3. Practice sexual assault and sexual humiliation on human beings.
4. Remove the right of habeas corpus from our civilization.
5. Assassinated political enemies who did not commit any crimes, and in the case of Obama, the child of a political enemy when neither the child nor the father were charged with any crime.
6. Used drones to kill non-combatant civilians including children as young as newborns as well as of all ages.
7. Undermined our legal system to prevent fair and open trials of terror suspects by an array of illegal tactics including keeping prisoners on American soil in foreign countries where the courts effectively could not challenge him.
8. Utterly destroyed the Fourth Amendment with massive spying and warrantless wiretapping of all American citizens.
9. Continued and expanded an unethical war on drugs that has directly cost the lives of multitudes of innocent people who have nothing to do with drug use.
10. Expanded the intrusion of human rights with rape scanners and searches that are essentially sexual assaults on men, women, and children.
If you think the economic difference between Bush and Obama are at all significant compare to these atrocities, then you simply have fucked up priorities. Hitler had some good economic policies and improved Germany's economy, but that doesn't mean jack-diddley-shit given that whole Holocaust thing. There are these things called deal killers, and mass murder is one of them.
