Yes, I'll take the GDP of blue in that map over red. I'll take the colleges in blue over the colleges in red. I'll take the cities in blue over the cities in red. I'll take the sports teams in blue over the sports teams in red.

I'm sure you can find better pie eating contests and truck rallies in red than in blue. You can find better nascar races in red than in blue (maybe), and certainly much bigger fundamentalist churches in red than in blue.

But put it this way. If it were two countries, I would definitely choose the blue country to live in, and we would totally dominate you. Not that we don't need you guys. It's sort of yin and yang thing. I loves me those farmers daughters. And I might retire to red country. Ironically because housing is cheaper than in blue country, and yes, its true, that's not unrelated to the fact that not only is the land cheaper, but they don't have union construction jobs in the south.
