The Liberals think it will make them popular with the Latinos.
In Florida it's worse than giving all of the Mexicans in California amnesty.

The Latin community in Florida have a political voice at the Cuban embargo status qua. Without Cuba being on America's shit list, then Cuban Americans are no more or less politically relevant than a New York Puerto Rican or Californian Mexican.

Cuban Americans got politically as powerful as they did, because due in fact that America needed political insight on Cuba and Russia.

This is going to be a messy bag of Shit.

Especially when you consider we don't even know how the Russia thing will play out over the next few months let alone years.
That will make for an award experience when Putin starts going around the world visiting former comrade blocs. The best I can tell Obama isn't really expecting anything from Cuba rather than Puerto Rican political favor from a Latin community that will end up hating him, the Democrats even more for it.

Just wait until our tourist go down there to visit then social Shame Cuba on Instagram, Facebook, tweeter and Google +.
It's only a country that America has kept in the dark ages for over 60 years. But we're going to go down there and get a load of the infrastructure where the lights only work a few days a week and only during certain times of the month. The 1957 Chevy taxis with Mitsubishi Engine and a Dusenburg transmission. The tenement buildings where the tenants go door to door sharing the only light bulb in the building. But only on certain days of the week because the electric only runs sometimes when the state ran electric company gets some $6.00 a gallon petrol to run the generators.

I can hardly wait it will be a riot, those snarky bloggers always have something cheeky to say.

The real reason: The Cuban Exiled 1%ers want their hotels back, or the Cubans back in Cuba they claim to care so much about to pay them compensation + 60 years of interest and penalties.

They want to connect sanction removal with compensation.

They especially don't want Bally's and other Casino/Hotel businesses buying their former properties and outgunning them in a US-based lawsuit.

Most other Cubans just want to visit their family and support them. The AEI 1%er Mafia-pal Cubans want even more money.

You mean take the International Miami real estate market, beyond the Miami skyline?

I am OK with what the President has done. If something has not worked for 50 years, it's not gonna work for the next 20 years.
Cuba has the potential to be a huge tourist destination with it's citizens benefiting from tourism and Yankee dollars. The Castro brothers are old and dying, and no doubts will go down in history as pathetic losers who dragged a whole country through the mud.
I would like to visit Cuba on a cruise ship just to see how people lived 80 years ago. My worry is, everything will be in black and white.

You're a true real American.

Cubans are living after 80 years under a Socialized government.
If it seems 80 years behind the times, then that's what it looks like when the government controls everything you do, and dictates commerce and trade.

Cubans behind the timeness, isn't any thing that can't be corrected by placing a cheap handset in every hand of every man, woman and child. Abracadabra presto zip, and BOOM an instant nation of 21st century modern man.

They still wont have 2 red cents to rub together, but they will be able to Google "Democracy".

It's a "WIN WIN".

How are they going to pay them? They are broke and their knowledge stream of the world is from government controlled 3 tv stations. Viva la revolucion, cuba libre!

The cubans have been suffering immensely yet the broadcasters on KPFA always try to present them as some sort of "resistance" against the "imperialists." I don't think they asked for this honor.

I think a lot of these "let's help the campesinos" types should be gassed and ground up for fertilizer.

Seriously: a lot of people in third-world countries have real problems, and should not have to deal with "search for the self" fuckups on top of it.

Why Now?

Because of me. I love a Cuban cigar after raping the American economy. So I paid off some lobbyists and politicians...

What about the other reason ... access to hot Cuban esc*rts for a fling, only 90 miles from Key West, now that's worth something :-)!

Actually soviet soldiers who were stationed there during the cold war would get them for as little as a bar of soap, that's how much the revolution "improved" things there.

Anyone watches Alpha House on Amazon Prime?

The Mark Rubio look-alike on the show is funny. :-)

As I have said many times, Obama turned out to be very reasonable. He is also a very intelligent man.

That said, I would like to see Sarah Palin because she does a very good Tiny Fey impression. God, if T.F. becomes the president the world will become such a fun place.

Service, Quality and Price that's hard to beat.
