You know something?
It has been a few hours since anyone has posted photos of the maimed and bloodied Boston bombing victims on the sidewalk. Could we roll those again, please? Particularly the one with the guy's calf bone sticking out - yum!
I think we all stand to gain be seeing this gore and horror a few more times. Whaddya all think?
Anyone have ultra-high resolution versions? Something like 4096x3132, or higher?
The meaning of moulage is as follows: The art of applying mock injuries for the purpose of training emergency personnel.
The meaning of "viola da gamba" is as follows: A six-stringed instrument, between the size of the modern viola and cello, played between the legs with a broad, easily clutched bow.
It is similar to moulage in the sense that neither of them occur in these photos.
I don't see the photo with the guy's leg bone sticking out. Repost that, please.
In other good news, ex Egyptian President Morsi has also been sentenced to death.
Just for drill, Strawtegist, what did Morsi do that makes you pine to put him on the slab?
He was a supporter of a terrorist organization. "Muslim Brotherhood"

Did you know that Israel did damage to US property in 1954. That damage would have been worse but most of the Israelis were caught and punished by death. Turns out, Strategits, that this 6 year old nation did a false flag against US property in Egypt, and the intent was to blame the Muslim Brotherhood. It was called the Lavon Affair. Israel was wicked and disruptive from the start of its existence.
I don't care. That does not make Islamic terrorist groups innocent. It's radical Islam that is the enemy of humanity. What Israel, Japan, Germany or Russia did in the past is irrelevant.
I don't care. That does not make Islamic terrorist groups innocent.
It was a wicked false flag against your country, the USA, you traitor.
If true, add Israel to the long list of countries that hurt us in the past. Japan, Germany, Italy, Russia, UK, Mexico, France, Spain, Canada.
I forgive them all. It's the barbarians who continue to hurt us and the rest of the world I do not forgive.
You are lost, but I doubt if you are confused
What worse punishment can there be for the bomber than being locked up with you for all eternity.
Boston Bomber: I bombed and killed/maimed innocent people for God.
bgamall4 : No, you didn't . It didn't happen, it was fake, you are fake, you are an actor-look you have a cockeyed arm -it has to be fake!!
Repeat a million times and the bomber will go insane with agony!!
Boston Marathon bomber sentenced to death
If 2 jerk offs could really pull this off, whats the point of DHS, TSA, constant surveillance, etc?
If 2 jerk offs could really pull this off, whats the point of DHS, TSA, constant surveillance, etc?
Exactly. Removing Constitutional, civil, and human rights for security theater is never a good trade-off.
whats the point of DHS, TSA, constant surveillance, etc?
Wealthy, connected government contractors have a large number of employees in all states and most congressional districts.

It's because of all that "Constitutional, civil, and human rights for security" that the 2 terrorist brothers managed to pull off their murderous plan. Removing Rights at times to capture these scum bags is a good idea. Demanding your right to not have anyone listen in to your phone calls, when no one cares to listen anyway, is silly, especially when lives are at risk.
From the article:
I found this very interesting. "If our liberties belong to us by right of birth, as a moral fact of nature, it follows that we owe the state no debt of gratitude for not violating them, any more than we owe our thanks to another individual for refraining from robbing or killing us."
I love this part. We may not owe the State anything for NOT violating our liberties, but we DO owe the State gratitude for protecting our liberties against those who wish to take it away from us. That is their job, they are trying to do their jobs, but it is us, the Citizen, who is preventing the State from protecting our liberties.
Absolute faith and obedience to authority is a litmus test of "Americanism." Foreign war is a very useful tool for manipulating the popular mind and keeping the domestic population under control. War is the easiest way to shift vast, unaccount- able new powers to the State. People are most uncritically obedient at the very time they need to be most vigilant.
Lots of truth in that too. However, not all wars are a tool to control us. Some wars are necessary to maintain our freedoms, like the war against Islamic Terrorism. Any new powers the State acquires during war can be retracted when the the threat is eliminated, because in a democracy the real power lies with us the people, and us only. Sometimes we have to take a step back in order to leap forward.
Let the State do it's job when it's trying to do it's job. The America of today harbors no territorial ambitions, nor the will to plunder and pillage.
Demanding your right to not have anyone listen in to your phone calls, when no one cares to listen anyway, is silly, especially when lives are at risk.
When lives are at stake, at what point is maximum security achieved? When half of our rights are surrendered? 3/4s of them? Clearly, in your view, rights become more valuable as they are eliminated.
I'm glad you asked that. My answer is - I don't know. It would depend on the threat.
We already sacrifice liberties like the right to go through red lights, take the law in your own hands, shout Fire in a theater, and what not. If the right you want hurts someone else, then that Right has to be questioned, compromised and even eliminated. When a terrorist is planning to hurt a bunch of school kids, that terrorists natural rights must be eliminated for the rights of children to live. It's a question of which rights take precedence
Please remember, the State is only trying to protect our rights from those who want to take it away. The long term rights of the people takes precedence over the short term.
If the right you want hurts someone else, then that Right has to be questioned, compromised and even eliminated.
If this is the basis of your rights then you have no more claim to it than everyone. When the jihadist attacks us this is precisely his moral substantiation.
Please tell me, which rights do you support? Our rights where slavery is banned, or their rights where it is permitted?
This is how Americans justified killing black voters.
Can you stop your nonsense? We are all Americans.
This is how you justify torturing your wife.
I'm married with children. I am the tortured one. :(
I'm married with children. I am the tortured one.
"If this is the basis of your rights then you have no more claim to it than everyone. When the jihadist attacks us this is precisely his moral substantiation."
Your short term memory doesn't serve you well.
SBH, you are starting to piss me off. I'm not seeing any rationality in your posts. What the hell is upsetting you?
My point is you have no standard beyond your personal fear. A standard must be universal or it's just bullshit,
What???? My standard is MY standard. I don't give a crap what other standards are. The universal standard is, that God exists. So I have to have that standard?
My point is you have no standard beyond your personal fear. A standard must be universal or it's just bullshit, the same way people felt fear of black people registering to vote so they killed them. The jihadists say exactly what you say. The only difference is they don't have your name. They have different children.
What you don't comprehend is this: I'M NOT SAYING THEY'RE RIGHT.
I'm saying this: THEY HAVE YOUR STANDARD.
WHEN YOUR STANDARD IS BETTER THAN THEIRS YOU'LL HAVE MY SUPPORT. Not that it matters to you.
My standards are the best there is.
Can you elaborate and explain? Thanks.
SBH, you are starting to piss me off. I'm not seeing any rationality in your posts.
Yawn, rationality is the last thing you apply to your standard. All that matters to you is your personal fear. From the other thread:
Strategist says
So what's your point?

I think someone hacked SBH's username.
OK, fine, but a standard mustn't be derived from the particular lest it just be desire. Remember, your standard needs to be applicable to everyone everywhere.
My standard is my standard. It does not need to be applicable to anyone or anywhere. The terrorists have their own pathetic standard. Is it applicable everywhere?
Now I'm pissed even more.
If I were on the jury - I could vote for the death penalty. I would even be willing to volunteer to be the one to pull the plug, trigger, administer the injection, etc This dude is evil.
More than anything, my tortured friend, what you have just written should stand as the final and perfect edifice to the failure of your standard. It's harsh for me to call you a coward, I realize that, but I mean it strictly with respect to Kant's categorical imperative.
I'm an atheist. We are all flawed persons. What is the standard by which we must act? No standard can be but cowardice if it "need not be applicable to anyone or anywhere". Don't succumb to anger, rather, note that your anger is the natural rejection of what flaw lies in your reaction to the horrors of what these insane maniacs are willing to do here in the modern world. It appalls me too, more than I can tell you.
Ok, can someone PM Patrick? Let him know SBH's account has been hacked. This hacker appears to be very intelligent.

A jury has sentenced Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death on some counts.
