Abu Sayyaf.......helped direct the terrorist organization's illicit oil, gas, and financial operations as well," he said.
Now that is crossing the line, bucko!
Sayyaf's wife, Umm Sayyaf, was captured during the firefight and is currently in military detention in Iraq, National Security Council spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan said in a statement.
Umm Sayyaf "played an important role in ISIL's terrorist activities, and may have been complicit in what appears to have been the enslavement of a young Yezidi woman rescued last night," Carter said.
What a bitch. Any reason why she should not be treated like the Yezidi women they enslaved?
Any reason why she should not be treated like the Yezidi women they enslaved
Because more than half of the US public is better than ISIS?

I'd say 99% are better than ISIS.
I wish her husband was captured alive. I would love to get my hands on him.
Great news! Now they will love us even more & no other Americans will ever die fighting for Chicken Hawk Warmongers.
....
"I'd say 99% are better than ISIS.",with the exception of Republican & Democratic voters,America's greatest enemies.
Ok, I'll bite - just what do you think you could/would do? Put two of you in a room, unarmed, my $$ is he kicks your ass in less than a minute and you would be lucky with just that..
Oh I don't know, Strategist might hurt his feelings?
What - would he hurt his feelings and scare him by displaying his Avatar ? Then again Strategist may have been watching to many Liam Neeson movies lately. Its kind of amusing actually - sounds just like my Father and his old WWII buddies down at the VFW after a few hours of "liquid courage" .
No different than anyone else on this forum. You are just tired of the Necon mentality, as am I. There is enough fascism in this country for 100 WW 2 Germanys.

Shit, the wife would kick his ass. Neocons are all about other people doing the fighting and dieing.

My libertarian co-worker - shit, one of my 85 libertarian co-workers - never talks about politics except when there's an death sentence or an execution. Then he gets real involved, and has to get up now and again from his chair and pace around. Once it passes, he's his usual quiet, sedentary self.
Conservatives really get off on killing the evil, more than anything else.
Shit, the wife would kick his ass.
and yours no doubt.
Probably, but I'm not the one who thinks he is John Wayne combined with Rambo and Dick Cheney. At least as long as it's other people's ass on the line. That would be strategist. et tu indiginous, et tu?

To all you jerks.
I'm not trying to be a hero here. These terrorists rape, murder and enslave women and children. I would strap him to a chair and torture the crap out of him until he tells us their military plans, and where they keep these women and children. If you guys think that is immoral, kiss my ass, because I think it's immoral not to.
You fools are concerned about the rights of terrorists even at the expense of the rights of raped and enslaved women and children.
To all you jerks.
Talk like that is going to hurt someone's feelings.
That is a two street, 250,000 dead non combatants in the last 15 or so years is what they are talking about.
Did you really just say you are stupid and tough?
No you dumb fuck, just the opposite.
JW was talking abut people who actually were tough, not just tough talking once they were past draft dodging age. So et tu doesn't work the way you used it.

I have made myself clear.
US special operations forces killed a senior Islamic State (aka ISIL, ISIS, and Daesh) commander during an overnight raid deep in eastern Syria, US Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced on Saturday.
"Abu Sayyaf was involved in ISIL's military operations and helped direct the terrorist organization's illicit oil, gas, and financial operations as well," he said.
The Army’s Delta Force troops traveled in Black Hawk helicopters and Osprey aircraft and touched down near a building where Abu Sayyaf was believed to be located, the Washington Post reports.

According to the NSC statement, the rare raid was authorized by President Obama upon the unanimous recommendation of his national security team.
"This operation was conducted with the full consent of Iraqi authorities and, like our existing airstrikes against ISIL in Syria, consistent with domestic and international law," Meehan said in the statement.
According to Reuters, this was the first known special forces operation inside Syria [everyone that believes this get in the corner and stand on your head] apart from a failed secret effort to rescue a number of American and foreign hostages held by ISIL in northeastern Syria last year.
Earlier this week, Abu Alaa al-Afri, ISIL's second-in-command and deputy of Islamic State "caliph" Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was reportedly killed in a US-led air strike in northern Iraq, according to the country's defense ministry.
ISIL continues to gain terrority throughout Iraq and Syria. overran the provincial capital Ramadi in Iraq and started closing in on the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
