That should not be a "hate crime" but it is a violation of private property. A person can fly a rainbow flag on his own house, just like a person can fly a Confederate Flag, A Swastika, a Hammer and Sickle, and so on.

Agreed. As much as I hate the sodomy/anal warts flag, I would feel compelled to defend its display on a private house.
The whole point of the First Amendment is to protect speech that someone does not like. Speech that everyone agrees with, like "Have a nice day" needs no protection. Only speech which offends someone needs protection.
But I am almost 100% certain that no sodomista would ever defend the same right for anyone else. Maybe there are a few on earth, but the exception would then prove the rule.
The primary difference between right and left is that the right defends rights for everyone, while the left demands rights for themselves alone while violently denying those same rights to all others.
BLM and Pantyfa are perfect examples of this, violently attacking others for peacefully exercising the right to free speech.

It’s why this country in such a mess, left burns everything, right stands quietly about it. Left owns DAs and prosecutors, cancel culture. Right is virtually non existent, no balance. Left is now pushing sodomy into schools because 0 pushback.
