How about a national day where everyone is encouraged to say politically incorrect things?

What would you say? You don't have to actually believe what you say, it just has to be provoctive.

"Barefoot and pregnant is the way I like 'em."

"Good lord you are FAT!"

"I have a lawnmower. His name is Jose."

"Speak English"

Progression

Invalid -> handicapped -> disabled -> ???

In-valid is particularly harsh but where does it stop, what’s next after disabled?

This is politically incorrect science.

This black guy, and the others from Cameroon, are more than twice as distant from the rest of humanity than was previously assumed possible among living humans.

Now what?
2118   SoTex   2021 Dec 12, 6:27pm

It's just the y-chromosome. Most of the genome is not the y-chromosome. Also this is from 2013.
2119   Patrick   2021 Dec 12, 6:28pm

True.

What if subsaharan black people really are significantly genetically different from everyone else?

Or are some questions not allowed to be asked?
2120   SoTex   2021 Dec 12, 6:32pm

They are significantly different from each other. More different from each other than they are from Europeans for example.

Those in the US are part European anyway. We don't even look at those folks when we want to study African genomes.

Ancestry just looks at Y (for males) and mitochrondria (for females) with respect to ancestry. The rest is a bunch of jumbled up shit that we can sort of work out through principle component analysis but it's still mishmash.
2121   SoTex   2021 Dec 12, 6:33pm

When it comes to genetics Africa is a deep deep well much like the dollar is vs. dogecoin.
