Indeed, the Panama Papers is a clarion call for revolt against a neoliberal world economic order that favors (1) privatization of public assets, (2) deregulation of governmental influence, (3) free trade in secret, and (4) austerity measures for public welfare. This nonsense started in earnest in the 1980s with President Reagan and PM Thatcher, called Supply-side economics , which preached tax cuts for the wealthy that purportedly incentivizes job creation, thus trickling wealth down to the masses. Problem is, after more than 30 years, all of the wealth gushed upwards whilst wages trickled down. The exact reverse of how it was sold to the American public.

“War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.”

Pretty amazing that everyone from Pinochet, Reagan, and Thatcher to Clinton and Gore are considered neoliberals. The tough question is who other than marx or more isn't a neoliberal.

"Neoliberal world economic order"??? Was this originally an article in the onion?

The heart of the matter is that BOTH parties perpetuate fraud, moral hazard and rig the justice system.
There isn't much of a difference between a neoliberal and a neoconservative, except of course for the optics. LOL.

No, it's going to be a very long time. Americans don't need to go to panama to create shell companies. America is the easiest country in the world to create a shell company. There is more money laundering in America than the rest of world put together. Delaware is called the onshore caymen island. Somalia actually has higher standards for forming a corporation than delaware, wyoming or nevada.

It's also very possible the leaks were orchestrated. Everything is coming out of shadowy organizations in washington dc and most of people named seem to be people the US is not happy with politically.
