Why is Silicon Valley becoming a bad word all of a sudden? SV is where our technology, wealth, success, and progress comes from.
SV should be loved, not hated.
Because they've click-mined every shred of personal thought out of our rotting corpses...

Why is Silicon Valley becoming a bad word all of a sudden?
We all have a choice of not using their technology.

Agreed but the last 16 years has taught me that they should be as separated Government as Religion and State.
If technology is calling the shots, then we will be truing in our cars, and paying a $300 a month service fee, then paying by the mile when we use Self Driving cars owned by one or two companies.
And the sooner all of our companies will use AI production for everything possible.
Tech was incorporated by this Administration to hasten the workforce demise and demoralize those not with the agenda.
It's dangerously scary having the only two or three tech Giants with their own private Helipad at the Whitehouse. This has not been ideal as they seem to become more and more the only companies to deal with anything. With their acquisitions and Alphabet this and Alphabet that. They are Fucking monopolies and nothing else. They need to be busted up and stop what ever flow of tax money get immediately.
They have stifled competition and killed new budding technologies with their monopolizing preordained chance of winning everything.

In other words, they were successful because they beat the hell out of the competition. They should be congratulated.
If they get too big we can always break them up, like we did with AT&T years ago.

No we DON'T these Idiots have allowed them to patent the rectangle do you think I stand a chance in hell getting away with building an alternative to Google.
Every single Google alternative uses Google. There are other search Engines those are index and spider servers. Google is a scrapper, a huge massive web scrapper. Nothing spectacularly unique about the technology they use, other than they patented it and were granted it.
But there's also Patents on Colors if you can believe that. If you patented a color then you need to get it out of my Goddamned color spectrum so I can't see it.

After the damage is done?
We're the frog and water is already boiling. You can feel sorry for Google, Apple and Fecebook if you want to, I'll piss on their graves.

Amazing, only you could actually believe there is any separation of government and religion.

This is the same person ranting and raving that SV was the tool of the democratic party and unfairly helping clinton get elected. I am always impressed how you have multiple contradictory thoughts in your head and devoutly believe all of them.

AT&T was a government sanctioned and regulated monopoly, not comparable at all. That was the last company broken up as too big and it happened 40 years ago. There is no way no how in today's plutocracy driven government any company is going to be broken up for getting too big. It's not going to happen.
True dat.
Liberalism will always be a religion with their pen of zealots...
Amazing, only you could actually believe there is any separation of government and religion.

I warned you.

Because they are a bunch of super smug assholes.

There was talk of breaking up General Motors into 5 parts before the Japanese cars invaded us.
I love Apple, but i also believe it should be broken up if it's market cap doubles. We have to limit the influence big companies have on government.

There was talk of aliens at area 51.

Too funny. I'm actually am laughing out loud. Do you believe in the easter bunny also? There is no limit to the influence that big companies and the ultra rich libertarians have on the government. Where planet have you been living on the last 40 years? It's been a long and expensive battle, but the .01% have total victory at this point.

Highly exaggerated.
Are we asking the engine of the economy to move out of America.
Didn't China replace Google with Bidu?
I'm part of the America that wasn't Turned Out by the last 8 years.
Connecting decision makers to a dynamic network of information, people and ideas, Bloomberg quickly and accurately delivers business and financial information, news and insight around the world.
This is why everyone has turned on the FedTech while they censor law abiding citizens, they foster ISIS, BLM hate rhetoric, and other Terrorist threats to the world.
Uber can now track their passengers' locations after they are dropped off and even when their app has been closed.
There will be Laws, OH! You better believe there will be LAWS!
517 billion for google
That's like saying.
"Hey Joe don't go make a company there's already a million of them out there!"
Sorry you might lose your job, stay relevant or at least likable when the tech jobs spring up in every state. And will have a collective value of 3 trillion.
Yes that is how much these monopolies rob from the middle class and small businesses.
Or you know you could try to create a niche yourself it's going to be easy without Obama picking the winners and losers.

Think so? Pick up a copy of dark money and get back to me. Dates, places, people, amounts, organizations, elections, dirty tricks, phony research, tax avoidance, etc., etc. All detailed and referenced for 600 pages.
No more than a couple hundred people are driving the whole political process for the entire country at this point. It's been a 50 years since the ultra rich libertarians first organized and started pooling resources to gain control over the political process. At the time they were a far fringe element. Now they are the mainstream in total control of the political process at both the state and federal level. If citizens united had happened a few years earlier Romney would not have lost to Obama in 2012. With libertarians gaining control over the state governments since citizens united in 2010, which means control of redistricting and polling, there isn't going to be a democratic president again for a long, long time. Unless trump fucks up in a really spectacular way.

Or until Liberal becomes a naughty word in the Democrat party.
We have to limit the influence big companies have on government.
That would leave the banksters as the only big businesses that could influence government. You would have Trump, who set back his sovereign ideas by appoint a foreclusure banker, listening only to the banks.

Nice to see we agree on at least one true conspiracy.

Just how many leaders does a democracy need? In the old days you only had one, the King.

If you can come up with the information like dates and amounts documented in tax records and election filings it's hardly a conspiracy. Working through the tangle of fronts and shells is hard, but it can be done. People are just too lazy to bother to find out where the information comes from or if it's creditable. They simply want to be led by the nose rather than thinking for themselves. It's true because I believe it should be true is the mantra for a huge swath of the country including more than a few patnetters.
Where it might lead is a much bigger problem. There was never a single group of people, especially such a small group, with so much influence in the history of the country. The danger of it going wrong in an evil way is very real.

Try to keep up. We are talking the power, read money, behind the leaders. At the state and federal level.
Why is Silicon Valley becoming a bad word all of a sudden?
many reasons:
- those lucky son of bitches drove up real estate prices in the bay area
- H1B visa depresses tech wages
- they collude and not hire from each other to further depress tech wages
- they ship jobs oversea
- they hoard cash oversea to avoid paying taxes
- Americans don't want to see high paying jobs go to Chinese and Indians
Un-American SV CEOs are practically BANNED from Trump's economy team.
Because they are a bunch of super smug assholes.
Exactly! This is the reason we should 💩 all over sillycon valley whenever possible. If they were earnest Trekkies/Star Wars fans who were trying to make a better world that would be one thing, but they have proven to be small Machiavellian tyrants at every opportunity so FUCK them.

Is that why Trump picked a foreclosure expert to be his secretary of Treasury? Trump abandoned homeowners for Wall Street. How globalist.
New technology is coming; it is your choice if you want them in your backyard or in Germany, China or India.
I like new technology except for cashlessness and self driving cars. Those will put us on the road to totalitarianism. The NWO wants that anyway in case you didn't know. And Trump probably is in on it but may tweak it like with the Carrier deal which was good.
* Any business including Trumps uses all the tools to save prices. Remember that Trump gets his stuff manufactured in China. So H1B is a limited quantity used to hire educated workers. The alternative could be sending the same jobs abroad to save money. What would you rather have; most of the jobs sent abroad or some folks coming to USA.
Say mr shill man, how does this work with the workers training their H1B replacements to do their jobs at their US location, like disney?
* Rise of minimum wage
* Raising the overtime wage limit.
* Republicans including talk show hosts like Rush Limbaugh was a big proponent of NAFTA,
First of all I'm not republican. And then we have to trade with other countries. What we don't need is the myriad of Rich fat Europeans sitting on unlected positions deciding who can trade what when and where.
Get rid of World Bank, WTO, the G20 summits, the this body the that body the UN busy bodies all of it and just make trade deals directly with countries that has product that we are interested in,
Either they can compete with domestic brands or they wont. But it's time we stop letting these Liberal Commie fascists bastards dictate it to the world.
I have my sights set on greater things than squeezing meager jobs until there's none to be had. We need value added jobs, where there is room for income growth. There just isn't that kind of growth wearing a plastic name badge slinging out fetid corporate burgers. Which that's what the Libs are going after, but it really would just kill any Small Business rebound from ever happening, if 15 an hour was minimum wage. It would also be the end for un college educated employee in any wage bracket. As the new norm would be manager level people expected for entry level jobs and splashing a bucket of boiling water in the Shit house after a drunk had their way in the bathroom would just be part of Bachelor degree job holder.

Not for nothing, but I think everyone like Facebook and Google a hell of a lot better before they became Weaponized Censorship, Surveillance and Normalize as well as Social deconstructor with Federal reach to use against us all. Let them fend for themselves.
