there are plenty of arabs and Muslims living in Israel...who enjoy more individual liberty than anywhere else in the predominately arab/muslim middle east. What the Palestinians want is their own country with the express stipulation: "No Jews Allowed". Imagine if Israel wanted to negotiate from the standpoint of "No Muslims"! The UN would throw a fit!

When one of two parties in a negotiation doesn't recognize the other party's right to even exist...its not going to work.

Yep. They can deliver humanitarian assistance and assist with refugees/displaced persons in certain situations, but not as well as numerous private organizations. And when they try to do anything beyond that, it's at best a shocking waste of money, and at worst, well, ask the Mothers of Srebrenica....
