Maybe he heard about this guy

3   epitaph   2017 Aug 15, 9:23pm

My guess is he is going to walk away with manslaughter because he was spooked by the protesters attacking his car. People can debate about what he deserves, and they will, my main takeaway from this tragedy is don't go to political rallys, the climate is too hostile and there is so much potential for something terrible to happen to you. It's not worth it.

True

Patrick says

Not that this excuses driving into a crowd.

True

Yet it does show that Trump was right to say "on many sides". He should have outright condemned the white supremacists, but then he should have followed up that antifa is just as bad.

Both sides are full of young asshole men looking for fights. Both are intolerant and criminal. Both sides were beating each other before the asshole in the car mowed down the crowd.

Again, the left and the right are nearly identical. They are both conservative.

5   somecrappynumber   2017 Aug 15, 9:24pm

You mean as it drove by - the people who watched it barrel into the crowd were mad? Uhh yeah. See that guy take the swing at the 4 second mark:

www.youtube.com/embed/nK7FNCEIfbQ

Not seen here, but the antifa thugs also beat on its back end as it reversed back up the street - whats your point?

6   steverbeaver   2017 Aug 15, 9:24pm

That's right. Just one "kid" took this guy's life. One. Not a crowd, one. Armed with a bludgeon.

I think you're probably right. It may be hard to prove premeditation. Given the politics, it may even end up with hung juries.

He'll probably claim self-defense.

8   anonymous   2017 Aug 15, 9:28pm

Let's remember just weeks ago there was the attacks on the Congressional Baseball game by a Resistance member, and just days ago a man shot his Trump-sign displaying neighbor. Not to mention the Dallas Police murders and the knife-wielder on campus, both perps followed BLM and other Black Supremacist orgs on their social media.

9   somecrappynumber   2017 Aug 15, 9:31pm

BTW - the paranoid BGMAL/Gary crowd is already claiming that this guy with the flag that hit him may have "startled" the driver and caused him to "panic" hitting the crowd - LOL Yes I am sure as he barreled down the first 150 feet toward the obvious crowd he had good intentions - only to suddenly panic in the last 25. 2/1 odds you tube will have videos claiming that the screams were fake - NO TEARS - COCKEYED ARMS!!!!!

10   anonymous   2017 Aug 15, 9:38pm

White American Nazis are the victim here

Anti fascists made him do it!

Violence is exclusively on the left!

11   epitaph   2017 Aug 15, 9:41pm

Also, on a side note, how did this story get 10 times the coverage as that story a year ago about a Muslim who walked into a gay bar and murdered 49 people?

12   Rew   2017 Aug 15, 9:46pm

Negative. Car at speed enters top of street already clipping people. It draws attack at that point. First attack on the car actually appears to be an object thrown.

If the video is the sole record we are judging, it is very clear the car is already attacking as it enters the top of the street.

This story "confirms" what the left dearly wants to believe.

The mass murder by a Muslim in the gay bar proved something that the left really does not want to believe.

That's all there is to it. You can predict the amount of news coverage of any event by how good it makes the left feel about themselves.

Be honest, Trumpcucks. You're praying to God that a Muslin carries out something worse on American soil, so you can score some points

16   mell   2017 Aug 15, 10:17pm

The authorities are mostly to blame for this. They knew the protesters had a permit, then used the state of emergency - the only way - to "legally" void that permit and tell the protesters to disperse, knowing well that they would run into armed and violent counter-protesters during the dispersion. Instead they could have simply held up the counter-protesters - who had no permit - until the protesters had dispersed. There's no doubt that mixing some of the more genuine protesters with Nazi-admirers and violent claqueurs, followed by the tragic lethal car ramming and the usual knee-jerk Orwellian fake news coverage at the intellectual level of a 5 year old dealt a huge blow to anybody standing right from the far left, as they are left defenseless in their attempts at any dialectic or logical discourse in the face of Eurabia going to war with Oceania, were no prisoners will be taken. I would even go further and say any parents and friends are to blame if they let their kids or close friends go to such useless protests and/or counter-protests without at least trying hard to dissuade them and tell them to focus on their self-improvement instead of risking their lives for merely being pawns used by the (social) media, hyped and forgotten within the same year. Do better things with your life!

17   epitaph   2017 Aug 15, 10:18pm

Nobody says cuck anymore. It's like calling everybody you disagree with racist nazis, the effect just isn't there when it's been said thousands of times in the same stupid way.

How did you work this out? Want to give us your methodology in calculating this and the actual numbers you came up with? Where I live the Orlando shooting got a ton of press.

Watch Trump talking today. He's the only goddamn adult on television, condemning all sides. No matter how clearly he says it, no matter how clearly he demands the media mention there were both assholes and peaceful protesters on both sides, the Oligarch Legacy Media Stooges keep trying to make it wholly and solely about Nazis and "the rise of White Supremacy".

Agreed though I thought it was important that he also condemned Nazi ideologies yesterday, there's nothing wrong with speaking out against fascist or socialist ideologies that go against a free nation and show compassion. Yesterday's proclamation and today's interview were pretty impressive while he seemed to struggle a bit before under the heat. Btw. also Karl Denninger makes a similar point here: https://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=232302

Just spitballing. It seems to me that this is getting much more media coverage based on my anecdotal experiences. Also the discourse is much different. After the Orlando shooting everybody was asking how come homeland security didn't pick up on this guy before he did it. Nobody is saying this about the current affair, now we are worried that everybody is a white supremacists neonazi. Why are we just now scrutinizing a violent ideology? And why didn't we a year ago?

Very true, compared to Orlando this was a piece of cake to avoid for a well-trained police-force. I maintain my stance the authorities are complicit in this.

And constant, constant reminders about how we shouldn't blame Islam. And trying to move the focus from the perpetrator to banning guns.

I can't imagine the Media saying "Not all Trump Supporters" or "Let's start regulating car ownership".

But you're right - one thing they have definitely not been interested in is asking why the authorities, with weeks of notice and already in a state of Emergency, failed to prepare. Even the ACLU has been making a stink about the politicians ignoring their suggestions to keep the sides away from each other.

The left, the right, and Islamists are all conservative tribes. It should not be a surprise that they behave the same way. Violently when they don't get their way. Like fascists when they get state power. You can't trust any conservative tribe. They are all the same.

Don't any of these assholes work? How do they have time to do dumb ass protests? Sounds like a bunch of losers with too much time on their hands. Are they living on govt. handouts? Got welfare? (I meant disability) CHECK...EBT... CHECK...bored, with lots of free time... CHECK...I guess I'll go to the protest and start some shit...If I get arrested, will I lose my disabilty and EBT?...NO... It's all good then.

You guys have truly gone nuts. The picture is of people beating the car AFTER it was just driven by a white Christian Nazi terrorist ISIS style through a massive crowd.
The reason that this story will be more sustained than the Florida night club shooting is because Obama was not defending ISIS members at the time. Obama did not come on TV and say that there were bad actors and wonderful people on both sides. This story is big for what it is, but the biggest reason that it is a story is because of Trump's response. During the campaign, Trump would not disavow David Duke. He only gave weak sauce comments two days after the issue came up. Now, when Duke and his crazy cohort of racist fuck-wads are terrorizing Americans, Trump still cannot blame the guy. It's pretty amazing.

The Cops just cleared out the trouble makers 20 minutes before. How were there 6 people standing there with sticks.

Answer that and we would have our answer, as to why the victims haven't all been featured yet in a News Paper article.

They are not revealing the "Victims" for some odd reason.

I got to tell you...you are dense. The Florida shooting and this incident are completely different. The antifa left shows up without a permit and causes trouble. The police stand down until it gets out of control. The left is always violent. Look what they did at Berkely. Are you deaf, dumb and blind?

Sorry to tell you, but Trump is not stupid. If he only denounces one group, it gives strength to the other anti American groups such as antifuck and Black (don't you dare say "ALL" you racist) Lives Matter.

He should continue to lump all these groups together. But nooooooooo, the left will cry and destroy something. It's what they do.
