It's their inept local government, they are incompetent, incapable, worthless corrupt bureaucrats. It's why that crazy chick yells so much at Trump.

This isn't US or Trumps fault, local incompetent bureaucrats just don't accept responsibility for their own incompetencies. It is why US aid is coming to Puerto Rico, but not getting from US through local authorities to the people. This is why liberals need to stop electing SJW's who have no competency to get anything done.

Armed federal agents raided a warehouse in Puerto Rico and seized materials that were supposed to be used to rebuild the island's electrical infrastructure that was damaged by Hurricane Maria but were instead hoarded by the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority. Federal officials then began distributing the materials to contractors who are repairing the electrical system.

Good thing there were competent government bureaucrats for storms like hugo, andrew, katrina, irma otherwise thousands of people would have died and aid would have been a mess. Oh wait, those were totally bungled responses where thousands of people did die and aid was a mess, never mind. Good thing the US government didn't run up way more debt than can ever be paid off like PR. Oh wait, 20 trillion in debt, never mind. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

I was in PR in July for 2 weeks .Drove all around stayed at hotels/airbnb, went to restaurants, movies, walmart/home depot/rite aid/books a million/etc. sailed, surfed, wakeboarded all with no problems. Everything is up and running just fine, or at least no more fouled up than normal. I'm sure there was plenty of bungling, confusion, corruption, and incompetence after a cat 5 hurricane strike. There always is with a major disaster anywhere.

Will NPR do any retractions?

I doubt it.

She's blaming Trump for it.

Trump is a boogeyman to the left. Find problem > blame trump > get 10000 retweets from bots and brainwashed fools > repeat

Yes, all governments are worthless when it comes to helping citizens, regardless of their political leanings. Puerto Rico has also increasingly become a hub for "illegal" drug distribution. Another victim of the War on Us.

This is commonplace everywhere in the world. I'm an elected official and am the treasurer. I have full access to the bank accounts. I could literally take $20k tomorrow and it would take a month for anyone to notice. I'd never do that as I have zero interest in jail and that whole scene. I'd rather be broke, which I'm not, so not worries on either scenario.

Look up Rita Crundwell (sp?) Dixon, IL. She flat out just took money for years. Wikigaydia but whatever: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rita_Crundwell

You realize this has been going on for at least 40 years? Statehood v Independence. I took a history of PR class in college and have visited multiple times. This isn't news at all. Nothing will come of it as PR is fucked if they're independent. They'll be the next Haiti of the Caribbean, smarter minds have always prevailed over time. We're not even knee deep in this years hurricane season.

How about a news article on the topic? If you knew the situation down there you'd understand how retarded this image is.

I never said that I didn't know that this has been going on for 40 years. More imaginary bullshit from an Expert of PatNet!

How about YOU GOOGLE THE SHIT UP YOURSELF!

Wow! What a concept! Amazing, huh?

And once again you expose your own bullshit far better than I can. First you go into your diatribe about PR statehood movement being old news....then demand a news article about it from me.

You just can't help yourself. You do this all the time.

Why do you post? You come with nothing to this site. What about PR do you know? Anything. Do you even know where it is on a map? Have you been? My guess is no.

When and where have you been in PR? You lie. You're the bull shitter dude. PR statehood and independence has been going on for decades.

José E. López, one of my professors. https://lals.uic.edu/profiles/lopez-jose-e/

While I don't agree with his take, he knows waaaaaay more than you do and I had 3-4 months with the guy. So it's you that needs to stop the magical thinking. I know the guy and have had meals with him.

Not that you could find Chicago on map but here's the biggest Puerto Rican neighborhood in the country. Oh look, values rising... https://www.zillow.com/home-values/269585/humboldt-park-chicago-il/

Haven't sold $3-4M in homes/condos in that neighborhood.... oh wait I did. And who lives across the street from me, Joelle a Puerto Rican that I shoot the shit with on a weekly basis. From Puerto Rico and lived in Humboldt Park.

Oh boy! Your imaginary thinking is used for imaginary bragging to satisfy your need to snob because your real life is such fucking shit...and it has zilch to do with what I posted about PR. Not shocked.

Me: Here is a snapshot of the beach mid afternoon.
Wookie: But the sky is blue.
Me: So fucking what?
Wookie: You don't know what you're talking about! I know everything about it, not you. I blew a professor and he gave me a passing grade that sez so. I bet you have never even been to a beach! You also don't even own a pair of sunglasses. I know, because I dreamed all that up in my head. Prove me wrong! Where's the links?
Everyone reading that: WTF?
