Good thing there were competent government bureaucrats for storms like hugo, andrew, katrina, irma otherwise thousands of people would have died and aid would have been a mess. Oh wait, those were totally bungled responses where thousands of people did die and aid was a mess, never mind. Good thing the US government didn't run up way more debt than can ever be paid off like PR. Oh wait, 20 trillion in debt, never mind. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
I was in PR in July for 2 weeks .Drove all around stayed at hotels/airbnb, went to restaurants, movies, walmart/home depot/rite aid/books a million/etc. sailed, surfed, wakeboarded all with no problems. Everything is up and running just fine, or at least no more fouled up than normal. I'm sure there was plenty of bungling, confusion, corruption, and incompetence after a cat 5 hurricane strike. There always is with a major disaster anywhere.
This isn't US or Trumps fault, local incompetent bureaucrats just don't accept responsibility for their own incompetencies. It is why US aid is coming to Puerto Rico, but not getting from US through local authorities to the people

I could literally take $20k tomorrow and it would take a month for anyone to notice. I'd never do that as I have zero interest in jail and that whole scene.
