Being a woman is a bit different though. Not even women are entirely comfortable with a woman as commander-in-chief, and this was indeed a factor in Hillary's loss.

Yes! I said from day when Trump announced his Candidacy that if that was Oprah Winfrey saying the exact same message there would have been an Oprah MAGA election spirit.
But that's it not one Politician was saying the things Trump was saying and wanted like hell for him to shut up. They didn't enter Politics to be a public Servant. For Trump it's easy, he has a fortune he says he isn't doing it for the money. Congress and everyone else Is doing it for the Money.
But lets say Oprah did pull a Trump in 2015 instead of Trump.
Would She had been as cunning, non relenting, self sufficient, and self sacrificing as Trump has been.
Could they have stayed ahead of the media, establishment and two parties trying to silence them at once. Would they have had the foresight to jump ahead in Primaries and set Precinct fraudsters straight and shed light on the rigged process, and paid out of his own pocket to sue at the 11th hour to get the will of the voters heard, rather than closed commies overriding the voters.
Everyone keeps acting like Trump fell ass backwards into getting elected hap hazzardly. He knew what in the hell he was doing and masterfully executed his moves to avoid the rigged pitfalls and to circumvent the MSM trying to suppress his message.

Don't cheapen what he did, by asking what if. If they could have they would have. Every Pro makes it look easy, doing it is the hardest part.

Plenty of racists around still, I know this, but the recent election proves that people will hold their nose and vote for the person who they believe holds their interests most in mind.

Also, even if you don’t like his politics, Obama did blow through that race ceiling. From now on, I think people will be more willing to put race aside when choosing a candidate. The right man of any race could win if he’s saying what people want to hear. The right woman would have to be a unicorn indeed. People are still deeply skeptical of women in power.

That is exactly correct. Why is it so hard for people to "get it"? The only possible way he could win was to affiliate himself with one of the 2 parties. Clinton had the other one locked up so he went with the republican name. He just used it to get elected.

The simple truth is that women don't like other women.

I think the future of American Politics the Establishment will now create two Liberal Socialist parties, and two Conservative Republican parties that forge interchangeable Government coalitions. Make it easier for one of those Four to win with just 25% to 30% of the vote. They will encourage as many third parties as possible. It's the way Germany and EU Socialists keep a tight grip on those Countries Politics regardless who wins. And makes it impossible for a underdog Party compete against one of the 6 institution parties.
Then in the event that an underdog party like UKIP wins, they are ostracized and Parliament blocks them from forming affective Government. Or like in May's case they get conscripted into the Game.

The days of the election being between two Candidates is over. The next President might win on 25% of the vote.
