I detest Hollywood gun control hypocrites ducking out from behind their highly armed private security long enough to give a speech, flash their dental work, and disappear back to the sets where they make another film with assault weapons, sun glasses, and slow motion.

Would they call their private security a well-regulated militia, I wonder. They must think the vast majority of the middle class and poor don’t need special protection - even though the police and military aren’t enough to keep the bright and shiny ones safe. That’s different. That’s limelight.

They are right about one thing. The police and military aren’t enough to keep people safe. They did a piss poor job in Parkland. I would say we all deserve private security, and I would add that the armed don’t need to be paid muscle to carry those private firearms. If a trained and dedicated private militia wanted to protect my private home, town, county, state, and non-gated neighborhood, I believe I have a right to that armed protection just as much as the cast of Ocean’s 11.

And I have a right to join it.

I believe I have the right to arm myself to protect my family where ever we might go.

Sadly, the Liberals think that should be illegal, and instead, I should wait 5 or 10 minutes for a police officer to arrive, and take a report that one of my family members were killed by an attacker.

Everyone is equal but some are more equal than others.

There is no limit on how big (or small) a "well-regulated militia" can be, is there? So you can call yourself a militia of one.

In some states e.g. Vermont, Florida, Arizona, you can carry a gun with you.

In California it's technically legal, but because it is at the discretion of each county Sheriff, you may not get one living in most populated counties.

Hypocrites in Hollywood abound; they make millions from making movies with fantasy gunfights, magazines that magically hold 1,000 rounds it looks like, amazing trick shots, etc.

If I were concerned about this, I would carry 1. good pepper spray 2. Glock 380

I presently am in Florida so I can carry a gun. I would be afraid to use it however on a person for fear of prosecution or lawsuit.

It's generally in my car so it's like a security blanket. I would maybe prefer to carry pepper spray around since you won't be sued for using it.

Until they get assaulted, robbed, raped, etc. Then it's a whole new story.

You'd probably still get sued especially if it was a young black honor student who went astray but was turning his life around and you are white. And it would be a PITA.
