I detest Hollywood gun control hypocrites ducking out from behind their highly armed private security long enough to give a speech, flash their dental work, and disappear back to the sets where they make another film with assault weapons, sun glasses, and slow motion.

Would they call their private security a well-regulated militia, I wonder. They must think the vast majority of the middle class and poor don't need special protection - even though the police and military aren't enough to keep the bright and shiny ones safe. That's different. That's limelight.

They are right about one thing. The police and military aren't enough to keep people safe. They did a piss poor job in Parkland. I would say we all deserve private security, and I would add that the armed don't need to be paid muscle to carry those private firearms. If a trained and dedicated private militia wanted to protect my private home, town, county, state, and non-gated neighborhood, I believe I have a right to that armed protection just as much as the cast of Ocean's 11.

And I have a right to join it.
