Yep, Trump said "in the old Days... I wish I could."

Dorkbag was suggesting people do so now, in the present day, with no wishes or qualifiers.

Also, the other half is missing - nobody popped anybody in the former, but many attacks after the latter.

The first side to accuse the other of being Nazis loses the debate by that accusation alone.

Donald Trump Jr. likened the Democratic Party’s platform to that of the Nazis during the 1930s during an appearance at a film screening Wednesday night, saying comparisons between the group and conservatives are the product of “wrongly influenced” academia.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/commentary/ct-liberals-antifa-violence-20170718-story.html

There have been no right-wing groups storming campuses and flinging feces at speakers we don’t like; no tea party mobs destroying property, assaulting police officers, and paralyzing our major cities; and no Republican senators calling their colleagues murderers just weeks after a political assassination attempt.

From Portland to New Haven to Washington, the violence we’re witnessing is largely a product of the hard left, and the reaction from mainstream liberals — mostly silence, dismissiveness, equivocation — means it will continue to flourish.

To move toward a less violent and hyper-charged society, we must be clearheaded about violence where we see it, and not avoid the subject. We must condemn it without conditions.

If you think Republicans are murderers, you’re an extremist. If you’re trading in that kind of rhetoric just to shut the other side up or raise a buck, you’re giving cover to extremists. And if you object to political violence but fail to speak out, your weakness is causing our society to fracture.

It’s time for liberal America to speak out against violence and the rhetoric that incites it.
43   marcus   2018 Aug 4, 3:49pm

I didn't hear Patrick or any right wingers on this forum denounce the right wing hate that triggered the Gabby Giffords shooting. Nor did they want to acknowledge that the guy was obviously affected by right wing hate promoted on talk radio.

Tihs is the way the left discusses such things: https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2011/01/did-sarah-palin-s-target-map-play-role-in-giffords-shooting/342714/

In fact I've never once heard you guys denounce right wing hate. But I have heard you argue that African Americans deserve their reputation as more violent (hence they deserve hate and fear ). Likewise for Islam. I've heard plenty of arguments in favor of hatred towards Islam.

Now I'm hearing arguments for hating all "leftists" based on the behavior of the most extreme anti right wing people out there.

Look you guys are the ones that have no problem with Trump's deplorable behavior and comments. How often have you denounced his lying, ignorance, violence inciting or low class comments ? YOu're just A-Okay with his deplorable behavior.

So sorry, you don't get to claim that we're giving emotionally challenge idiots on the far left a pass.

That would be like me saying you gave Jared Loughner or Timothy McVeigh a pass, by not denouncing them or the right wing hate that triggered them. Oh wait, I forgot, murder or attempted murder. doesn't count as violence.

It's that spitting and shoving at protests or not allowing Milo to give his talk that really grinds your gears. Not when someone right on this forum tells us how much violence and civil war will ensue if Trump is impeached.

It's quite a contrast to the way 99% of liberals just watched right wingers make a fool of themselves with their pathetic hypocrisy as they impeached Clinton.

Is it possible you're referring to ANTIFA ? You think that the typical liberal and or the MSM likes the worst behavior of ANTIFA or encourages it ?

IT's funny how if there was bad behavior from right wingers, you're going to say they were planted by Soros. But if there's any scuffles caused by a group ostensibly protesting fascism or potential fascism, you guys immediately want to say the two guys at the protest that were inciting violence represent all people that are opposed to right wing fascism or authoritarianism.

Great Resource:
http://markhumphrys.com/left.right.violence.html

How Leftist Academics flip the numbers by assigning terrorist acts to the right wing. As we all know, the number one tactic is to assign both Islamist attacks and the handful of Anti-Islamic to the Right Wing. That has both Anders Brevik and Mohammed Allen the DC Sniper count as "Right Wing Terrorists." Actually, many "Terror Counts" don't list the DC Snipers at all! Simply saying they are mass murderers, even though Mohammed Allen changed his name to an Islamic one and quoted the Quran in his diaries frequently, and admired OBL.

Or, have registered Democrats who voted Obama, think Bush did 9/11, and that Islam is being repressed, labelled as mentally ill instead of Left Wing Terrorists.

The better metric is to separate Islamic Terrorism from all Other Causes, but since Islamic Terrorism is far and away the #1 most frequent cause of Terrorism, this method, while the most convenient and informative, is disliked by the Left.

@marcus Are you afraid to wear a MAGA hat in public? Why is that?

If you're not willing to prove that it's safe to wear a MAGA hat in public, you do not have the right to claim that the left is not violent.

If it is safe to wear a MAGA hat, it should be no problem for you. A little temporary embarrassment at most.

Can you think of any analogous article of clothing from the left that puts the wearer in physical danger of attack?

Here's another interesting fact the Media hasn't considered, because of their bias.

Acostya was getting upset he was booed at the Trump Rally.

But who has been punching Journos recently? Here are some of their victims:

Independent journalist Keith Campbell
CBS photojournalist
Hill reporter Taylor Lorenz
Journalist shoved by Antifa after they steal his phone.
Andrew Bolt, a 57 year-old commentator for Sky News.
Max Bachmann of Heavy.com.
Jack Posobiec of Rebel Media.
Marcus DiPaola of Heavy.com.
Global News crew in Quebec.

It would be a far better world if paternity testing were mandatory at birth.

Then fathers would know for certain whether the kid was theirs or not, and women would be less likely to cuck a man to begin with, knowing it would be exposed for certain.

As it is now, many children suffer growing up, not knowing why their dad is suspicious of them. This is bad.

Paternity testing should be the law.

That's funny. I have to wear a MAGA hat to prove that the left is not violent ? I only claim that the right is as violent or more so than the left. And also that the right wing is more driven by hate than the left. One only has to listen to talk radio for the last few decades to know this is true.

I would never wear a MAGA hat, but I don't believe I would get anything worse than ugly comments from assholes on the street that are sure I'm a hate mongering asshole too. You have to realize that there really is an undercurrent of "make America white again" underneath that slogan. (even if you don't see it that way) Not that anyyone is for genocide of nonwites, it's just that it's an integral part of what some if not many Trump voters miss about America 50 years ago. Trumps appeal was an appeal to hate. I don't know how anyone can deny that. Maybe you bleieve the hate is justified, but you can't deny the hate on the right. Just listen to TPB. Now when hate is met with hate, you want to say it's the left that hates. Really Patrick ? I feel like you could see a little deeper than that if you wanted to.

@Patrick do you have any thoughts about Trump hosting Ted Nugent at the white house, even though he called for Obamas assassination ?

Nugent said Obama should suck on his machine gun. He also once publicly referred to Obama as a "sub-human mongrel." In 2012 "Nugent said Obama will either be dead or in jail this time next year."

59   Patrick   2018 Aug 4, 5:35pm

If you're afraid to wear a MAGA hat, that's because you know for certain that you are in danger of being physically attacked by leftists.

There is no counterexample of leftist clothing. The right does not violently attack the left.

All political violence these days is coming from the left.
60   marcus   2018 Aug 4, 5:39pm

I'm not sure which is worse ?

A celebrity saying the sitting President can suck on his machine gun ? (same celebrity is hosted at the White house by Trump)

Or getting spit on for wearing a slogan that is associated by many with racism and hate.

I guess it's a matter of perspective ? There is no objective truth there ?

Who knew ?
61   Shaman   2018 Aug 4, 5:53pm

There’s always objective truth. If you were concerned about being attacked or assaulted by strangers for wearing your Malcolm X or Che Guaverra T-shirt, would you be so objective? What if you were wearing your Mathlete hat from three years ago and some punk walked up and socked you in the nose saying “math is racist, nigga!” Bet you’d form an opinion pretty fast.
63   Patrick   2018 Aug 4, 5:57pm

@marcus So you admit you're afraid of attack by violent leftists if you wear a MAGA hat then?

Can you come up with a similar article of clothing that would put a leftist in danger of physical attack from the right?

If not, you're admitting that only the left is violent.
64   marcus   2018 Aug 4, 6:04pm

Funny, nobody has anything to say about Ted Nugent's "OBama can suck on my machine gun comment."

I tried to find out what that "stranger Thing's guy was saying. Noteworthy that they cut the second half of the sentence off in that video, even though they play it several times. It's not easy to find it quickly on line, becasue most of the right wing propaganda sites only wanted to quote the first half of it.

Interesting isn't it ?

"punch some people in the face when they seek to destroy the meek, and the disenfranchised, and the marginalized" is what he was saying.

Not saying it's right, but it is interesting that those deomonizing him didn't want to play the whole sentence.
65   Patrick   2018 Aug 4, 6:08pm

Marcus, I like you, but if you can't wear a MAGA hat without being beaten up, and can't come up with a counter-example analogous piece of clothing that would get a leftist beaten up, you have proved the point perfectly.

Only the left is violent.

I never denied that there are people out there to be afraid of if you advertise your love of Trump. In San FRancisco possibly the most liberal city in the country it's probably about 2% of the people that might give you a hard time, 1% or so that might vandalize a car with a MAGA sticker - mostly children, 0.3% that would do something physical such as spit on, push, threaten you for having a maga cap, and then something less than .1 % (1 in 1000) that would actually beat you up for having a MAGA cap.

So no patrick I would not be afraid to wear it out of fear of violence. I never was that much of a pussy. That is except for in neighborhoods that I wouldn't be in even without a MAGA cap, where there is too high a chance of getting messed with anyway.

But I wouldn't want to be seen as someone that is either racist or gullible enough to buy into Trumps BS (and also simultaneously tolerant of having such a low class person as our President).
68   Patrick   2018 Aug 4, 6:38pm

The point remains though: the people who will violently assault you for your political beliefs are 100% leftists.

Only the left is violent, and that's on a daily basis all around the country. Worse, violence by the left is 100% excused or ignored by other leftists, including all the mainstream media (NYT, WaPo, NPR, etc).
69   Shaman   2018 Aug 4, 6:41pm

Except for the fact that this is not true.

http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/presidential-campaign/305749-republicans-employ-double-standard-to-discredit

Obama's election in 2008 was preceded and followed by violent attacks and property destruction targeted against minorities.

Kaylon Johnson, an African American campaign worker for Obama, was physically assaulted for wearing an Obama T-shirt in Louisiana following the 2008 election. The three white male attackers shouted "Fuck Obama!" and "Nigger president!" as they broke Johnson's nose and fractured his eye-socket, requiring surgery.

More frequently, Obama's presidency was marked by effigies of our first black president hanging from nooses across the country, for example in Kentucky, Washington State, and Maine, or being burned around the world. What Trump supporters fail to remember is that following Obama's election, property was destroyed across the country, for example in Pennsylvania, Texas, and North Carolina, and a predominately black church was torched in Massachusetts.

In 2008, anti-Obama protesters lashed out against minorities because of their discontentment with a black man being voted into the office of president for the first time in our nation's history. Conversely, in 2016, anti-Trump protesters are holding mostly peaceful demonstrations because of their discontentment with a man, who has ostracized minorities, being voted into the office of president.

And while anti-Trump protesters have engaged in mostly peaceful demonstrations against the president-elect, pro-Trump supporters have been responsible for a wave of attacks against Muslims, Latinos, blacks, and the LGBT community.

According to Mark Potok, senior fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center civil rights group, there haven't been "such a rash of hate crimes in the United States since Barack Obama was elected America's first black president in 2008."

Or is this worse:

Actor Johnny Depp appeared to threaten US President Donald Trump during a speech at the Glastonbury Festival.

"Can you bring Trump here?" he asked the audience, as he introduced a screening of his film The Libertine.

After receiving jeers from the crowd, he added: "You misunderstand completely. When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?"

He is not the first US celebrity to allude to killing the president.

At a rally in Washington DC, Madonna said she thought "an awful lot about blowing up the White House" and the US rapper Snoop Dogg shot a toy gun at a Donald Trump character in a music video.
