Trump gave a great speech and that's why people liked it. Here's my summary, but I may leave something out. They are probably out of order since I am trying to remember his points.

1. The economy is improving.
2. The stock market rose and investors' net worth is up (W5000 index value increased trillions)
3. Taxes are lower (e.g. doubling of standard deduction)
4. Earned income credit is higher (free money for single mothers)
5. Unemployment is low
6. Workforce participation is high; highest number of employed in our history
7. We wasted our treasure in the Middle East; $7 trillion and counting
8. We are wasting our treasure in Afghanistan; tens of billions per year
9. Drug prices are too high; something is going to be done.
10. Suggest paid maternity leave
11. More women are representatives
12. Americans have exceptional achievements; the liberation of Europe and putting men on the moon are examples; several men who did both were introduced
13. Americans are overdosing and dying by the thousands; much of the heroin and fentanyl is from Mexico sent here by cartels.
14. The border with Mexico is open and needs to be closed to keep out the illegal heroin and fentanyl.
15. Immigration should be legal and people who share American values are preferred.
16. Since Americans can defeat fascism and put men on the Moon, of course we can secure the border with Mexico.
17. The opposing political parties should cooperate and compromise for the good of all Americans.
