Based just low unemployment numbers ? The unemployment trend was very much in place before Trump.

People are working, but does that mean they can afford good housing, or college, or health care, or retirement ? Best economy ever ? Really ?

And I don’t know who all these people without healthcare are. I actually don’t know anyone without healthcare, all the way down to fast food workers.

The thing is, you must REALLY be sticking your head in the sand because here in Los Angeles we have it even better than most with literally no jobs paying minimum wage. Even fast food jobs start at $13 an hour plus. Average salary in LA County is over $30 an hour...$63k a year. City of LA is even doing better than that with an average salary of $73k a year as is OC. And median household income in CA is nearing in on $90k a year which is just bonkers(average household income in LA County is around $65k).

It’s not even close. It’s by far the best economy in any of our lifetimes and if you are not making hay right now, you truly suck at life. I ran into a young lady working at a loca store, who used to work at a car wash near me and found out that had been her second job and she was working 7 days a week for a few years. Turns out that she lives with her parents and her family now makes enough that she doesn’t have to contribute to the household and quit the second job so she can go to college for nursing. And that’s just killer imo.

Also consider that even though these wages probably STILL won’t buy you a house in LA, SF, etc, a wage half that buys you a truly nice home anywhere in the Midwest and in most of the south. For example, Omaha is nearly a million people in its metro area and some decent parts you can get a nice home for $150k. A family income of $50k makes for an ok lifestyle and $80k makes you damn near a king. Considering median income is $56k, it means nearly that entire metro is doing fantastic. And it’s just one example.

I purposely didn’t put all the links in here. You really need to get your head out of CNN and MSNBHEEHAW’s ass and do a little searching because your basis of belief is so off on this. I actually think you will come to Jesus on this one.

They can get all of that if they work hard and jump through all the right hoops. But where is the fun in that?

I agree with your sentiment that things are not great for many people, but taking from productive people and giving it to non productive people while the administration of this wealth redistribution system takes a 90% cut is not going to lead to more productive people.

I don't think anyone fits on a two degree spectrum. I just call them as I see them.

Four things that would solve most of America's wealth inequity problems:

1. Bring back flophouses so guys down on their luck can stay near the urban center on a crappy old hard mattress and pay by the day/week until they've earned a stake
2. Consent or Fault Divorces Only
3. Declare Federal Emergency Development credits when Unemployment Rates are below 3% for Developers to build TRULY affordable housing either for rent or purchase. I'm talking studios, 1 beds, and a handful of two beds, very small, near Urban Centers. Trumps all local zoning on grounds of National Emergency. Developers can offset big profits on lux complexes by building and making smaller profits on more modest housing.
4. Two Strikes Child policy: After first two illegit kids on Welfare, no more benefits without getting sterilized -- applies to Men and Women.

This would also reduce a shitload of social problems.

Remember, the same liberals who claim hate to legislate morality are happy to forbid you plastic straws and demand you not misgender a tranny with the wrong pronoun.

Then I guess they need to redo those lists that show relative cost of living relative to jobs, to get LA higher up on the list (or lower?) .

This list has LA as the 11th most expensive cost of living. Of course they have to pay better than minimum wage.
