Patrick, don't take this as a knock on the site, but this thread has turned into a dumpster fire.... jesus. Everyone does realize no minds are going to be changed? I kind of thought the point of the thread was political humor. Post something humorous. We can agree or disagree if it's funny. This has now officially (more so than the past comments) become a divisive party line "I'm better than you, and you suck" thread.

@Patrick, why not a 24 hour maximum 5-post limit in this thread?

That way when somebody goes on a freakout or rage-filled bender, it doesn't end up with endless unfunny memes. And then I don't feel obligated to respond tit-for-tat. hahaha

TPBs paedophelia comment to all liberals was certainly a blast from left field, eh? BTW Which I steered clear of because comments are only a problem if the recipient refuses to be stomped on.

I don't always agree with TPB. I may be stepping out of bounds site rules wise, but I sometimes think he's a bit looney. BUT, he also has valid opinions that most the time are reasonable, if not correct. And if/when I disagree, I'll ask a question. Same with Marcus. Same with you (which I think I'm on your ignore list).

Discourse can be tense but also polite. You will receive what you put out. If you act a fool that's how people will treat you. This thread has devolved into foolishness.

The problem is I think they like Trumps policy, they don't like his demeanor and personality. Which I'd actually agree with. Trump is a cunt. But he's doing something that no politician (he is now) has had the balls to do, hence why he got elected and will again. Nerds and wimps despise him. This is anecdotal fact.

That seems reasonable to me. I can see it's distracting to have a very active hate-filled thread on the home page, but once you know that's what it's about, why bother to look at it again?

The best solution to bad ideas is to ignore them. Replying or talking about them gives them free advertising.

I'm open to ideas about how to change the site though.

Dude, that's over-the-top desperate, not funny. One of the key factors of the Left Can't Meme is overdependence on text rather than imagery.

You should be able to get it in a second or two, not have to scroll down a wall of words.
