Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., warned Tuesday that congressional Democrats are committed to vexing President Trump at any cost even as their party leadership tamps down talk of possible impeachment proceedings.

“We knew they wouldn’t give up,” Meadows tweeted. “The collusion delusion fell flat, and now reports say House Democrats are preparing to 'ramp up' their investigations of President Trump.”

Following the release of special counsel Robert Mueller's report, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., urged her caucus on Monday to focus on investigating Trump instead of calling for immediate impeachment proceedings. ...

Meadows, a vocal defender of Trump, says the Democratic Party is too near-sighted in their dislike of Trump to do what’s best for the country.

“They’re doubling down,” Meadows said. “This is a myopic obsession with politically targeting POTUS.”

Meadows, along with fellow Republican Rep. Jim Jordan, have railed against Mueller’s investigation examining Russian interference in the 2016 election, possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin, and potential instances of obstruction of justice by the president. Like Trump, they have called it a politically motivated "witch hunt."

The pair have said there is “overwhelming” evidence to suggest the FBI and Department of Justice acted improperly when the investigation was started and have vowed to expose officials who have allegedly worked to undermine Trump.

This is true. The Democrats care about nothing except undermining the results of a legitimate election, because the people actually used democracy to elect someone that the globalist elite did not want.

Do we have democracy or don't we?

If we don't, it's time for the second American Revolution.

This is just a continuation of the offense needed to deflect from having the Hillary campaign and her allies in the FBI being investigated

Reminds me a lot of 2008-2016 where the right wing whingers spent every waking moment bitching about Obama. Now they just bitch about Hillary and "the left" ALL DAY, EVERY DAY. Like a bunch of haggard old broads, all they do is bitch, bitch, bitch. I'm just grateful to not get sucked into all the negativity. It has to be very taxing to spend ones existence in a perpetual state of misery

No it didn't. People on the right just went about their business because they have lives. From the first moment it was obvious Trump was going to win on 11/9/16, whole rooms full of people went into meltdown mode from which they still haven't recovered. College students are the funniest and still are in their Marxist totalitarian rage.

A bunch of dumb women clogged up the streets of Boston and NYC in protest, places which they'd already won, as if shouting to the choir, will change the minds of voters in Milwaukee, Dayton, and Indianapolis.

The old hippies who managed to make it into the upper middle class in Santa Cruz don't give their money away to the poor. However, they still remember the thrills of protest, and show up for every placard waving dip shit protest in the city.

It's a substitute for meaningful human interaction, since they are generally POS in their own lives and with their own neighbors. The only attention they get is negative attention, which is fine with them.

Not if the Democrats get their way. Their very name is an oxymoron.
8   Expat01   2019 Apr 25, 10:19am

Blathering bullshit from the assholes on the right. If Trump were a Democrat, the Republicans would be marching with pitchforks and torches around the White House. They would be calling him out every day, insulting him the way he insults everyone else, and carrying out endless investigations into every facet of his life.

Fuck Trump and fuck Republicans for putting party before democracy and reason. It is sad and distressing to see that about one-third of Americans are willfully ignorant, racist, misogynistic, xenophobic assholes, but that is no excuse for Trump.

Democracy means representation for everyone, not for a bunch of mullet-headed ignoramuses and their and paid-for Washington shills.

For the last couple years, we’ve been mostly gloating while the Left tears itself apart trying to unseat a lawfully elected President.
10   Expat01   2019 Apr 25, 10:24am

And the selective memory of the right wing shills here is sad. Either you are profoundly ignorant or too young to remember how the right treated Clinton and Obama.

The Democrats don't want to tear down a legitimately elected president. They want to remove an incompetent criminal and serial liar from office. Everyone accepts the election results, but they now want to use legal, constitutional means to remove this scumbag.

Trump: draft dodger, serial bankrupt, liar, cheater, boor, ignoramus. A man who spent years screaming about Obama's tax returns, birth certificates and grades but who now refuses to release a single document himself. A coward and a blustering fool who has become, for reasons that escape me, the Hero of the Right. i get it. Hillary was dreadful, but that is no reason to create a delusion about Trump.

What crime? Mueller even had access to wiretaps and didn't find jack shit he thought a Grand jury would indict on.

What crime? Mueller even had access to wiretaps and didn't find jack shit he thought a Grand jury would indict on.

Finding evidence of a crime was not Mueller's goal, as Mueller knew there was no collusion over a year ago. Mueller just wanted to compile a list of rumors and hearsay that although no Grand Jury would accept, could instead be used by an extremely partisan House majority to justify an impeachment. Thus, all the vague notions of what could maybe have occurred if Trump had acted, might be process crimes.

The best nutshell of that I have ever seriously heard is this: Think Globally, Act Locally.

Help your community: it's more important than you think.

Understand in a theoretical sense. In practice, may be difficult to decide what should be done. Volunteering, for example, is used by highly-paid administrators to get even higher pay and make up for their wasteful mistakes - make suckers do the work administrators did not do properly. I see that all the time.
I can buy from local-owned businesses who are not too politicized as to be annoying...vote for local politicians who seem to be sort of honest...but usually after election they go off like all others...help my neighbors whom I know...that's about it.

Over Benghazi, which was a total fuckup. She was asleep at 3AM and wasn't gonna get up.

But Prosecutors never really looked into her emails, which were a clear crime that would have gotten anybody else fired and imprisoned. The Russians got US Diplomatic Secrets in Real Time, because of Hillary's secretiveness.

And Jazz, you haven't seen anything yet. Greg Craig, an untouchable divine, has already been indicted for lobbying. There are almost a dozen people named in Mueller's Report that he recommended further investigation or indictments - and none of them are Trumpsters.

We have a Democratic Republic based on the separation of powers. We have a president and many of his supporters that either dont understand that or refuse to accept it. 2018 brought the Dems to back to power in the House of Representatives. It was not a close election. That is how our system works. Happened to Bill Clinton happened to Obama.

Trump doesn't like oversight, no President does but Trump is particularly adverse to anyone questioning his authority or decisions. To be sure making him look bad is the worst thing you can do to Trump, So yeah some of this is political, it always is regardless of party, that's the system we live in.

Legitimate oversight is in the eye of the beholder. Is it proper to look into how security clearances were granted? Hard to make the case it isn't but Trump has said no to that. The umpteenth Benghazi investigation? Clinton testified 13 hours, and Trump wont allow anyone to testify about anything. Oh but he's so frustrated, the congress is so partisan, they are so ruthless waah waah waah. Look in the mirror snowflake.

Trump was not elected to be King.

We will. AG Barr charged Rochester Drug Coop and it's Former CEO on Tuesday.

FBI agents Joe Pientka and Mike Gaeta, along with DOJ official Stu Evans, are figuring prominently as witnesses in IG Horowitz's investigation of department FISA abuses. The findings in the forthcoming IG report are said to be "devastating."

1. If you mean Hillary, she was not a President
1b. Constitutionally, Congress cannot compel Presidents to Testify.
1c. Presidents have Executive Privilege, something the Supreme Court has repeatedly upheld and that almost every President has exercised.
1c2. Indeed, Truman and Eisenhower put almost the entire FBI and DoD under Executive Privilege.
2. Trump answered tons of Special Investigator Mueller Questions
3 Multiple Trump officials have testified repeatedly to Congress, including the Dem Congress.
3b. Barr is testifying to Congress on May 1st

Gosh, the economy sure is doing great under Trump. Just keeps getting better.

And the US hasn't invaded anywhere on his watch. In fact, troops have been removed from foreign countries and some good negotiations done with N Korea.

The results of the Trump presidency so far have been nothing but peace and prosperity.

Executive privilege is real but limited as Nixon and others have found out. I doubt even Trump's Supreme Court will allow it to interfere with legit congressional oversight such as the issuing of security clearances to people that have been denied them. And Trump, with blocking Don Mcgahn's testimony, is trying to assert privilege after he already (stupidly) waived it. These positions are extreme, we will see where the courts come down.

As to Barr why not let him testify after his performance in the Mueller report presser he proved himself to be both a capable lair and Trump sycophant. The bigger question is whether Mueller will be allowed to testify. I bet he will be blocked or at least the attempt will be made to block his testimony.

Not what I see.

What I see:

1) Terrible growth for what we are paying for it ( $1.2 trillion annual deficit in growth times).

2) A lot of OUTRIGHT LIES about manufacturing. It's still way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way below what it was in 2005.

3) International embarrassment that we would elect such a stupid asshole to be our President, and it looks like an obviously racist reaction to any educated folks, following Obama with such a douchebag.

4) Basically close to zero redeeming features. Will go down as worst U.S. President ever. Total redemption for GWB. GWB looks like a relatively intelligent statesman now.

5) Trump would love nothing more than to get WW3 going with Iran. Total suckup dipshit when it comes to NK.

By light years, the worst PResident ever.

Interesting. Pat seems to support Trump mainly for wanting to control unfettered illegal immigration and stop the abuse of the HxB programs. Sounds to me Pat is pro American worker. Being pro labor USED to be a Democrat position, but now even Democrat stooge labor unions are for unfettered immigration, not caring a wit about the effect of illegals on workers wages. So, if this is "Right Wing," I suppose "Left Wing" must be all out for unfettered illegal immigration. Most of the people presently campaigning for the Dem nomination are certainly banging the unfettered illegal immigration drum. Trump also seems to be the only one doing something about the outsourcing of jobs.

If you take an honest look at the facts, you'll see that Trump isn't doing anything to lower illegal immigration, and previous to TRump, border immigration was brought down to a small fraction of what it was in 2000 to 2005. So Trump's illegal immigration story is pure lies.

The wall was a symbolic con, meant to get the votes of people that don't care about facts or truth. It seems like all it has done is cause a massive uptick of refugee immigration by those wanting to get here before the wall.
