Thats pretty fucking cool.

Nice, but the range is too short to commute across the Bay. :(

He should put on a green goblin costume

Ushering in a whole new generation of quadriplegics?

haha...Came back to laugh at you.

You've already seen the last ICE engine development, NO ONE is developing a new gas engine! game over.

You're right 6 min flight time, 30 min predicted

:(

Every mode of travel has its dangers and pluses.

Did he build it in Joe's Garage, I bet he has Stink Foot.

If he could build that, he could build one that has an actual seat in it. I am surprised such a small device can carry enough fuel for more than a minute or so.

If you check the weight limits on these things you'll see that he's cutting it pretty close as it is. More fuel for longer range and/or a seat would make these limits too low to be useful.

But he seems to have a motorcycle-like contraption in the works, so maybe there will be something with a seat eventually.

Next gen batteries may be just fine for powering this sort of thing with reasonable range. Super capacitors and onion skin carbon batteries might hold the sort of charge needed to make this ride not only quiet but sustained for fifty miles or so.

On the Tesla model 3, I see those everywhere! My neighbor just got one. They look totally sweet. Wish I had the cash.

I dunno, he's running these things on dead dynos now and still barely cuts it. Energy density is a bitch.

If you read science periodicals form the 1950s, they predicted by the 2000s such devices would be "atomic powered."
