There’s a step further.....they don’t relate to others and won’t actually change opinion when proven wrong.

I’ve had a couple arguments recently with others that are neither Republican nor democrat arguments.

The first one is that the governor of CA and other political leaders in CA should have known they only had a finite amount of time before people started breaking the shutdown in such large numbers that they wouldn’t be able to enforce the shutdown any longer. That has now happened...took about six weeks. One very wrong Democrat and establishment supporting friend cannot wrap her head around this. No acknowledgement whatsoever that it was foreseeable this would happen. Only continued insistence that people need to follow orders and they’re gonna make corona worse. It’s blind stupidity. The person isn’t actually dumb. She was born with more capacity for intelligence than I am. But she doesn’t understand human nature in any way shape or form.

The other is the continued insistence that the corona crisis was caused by President Trump. It’s a line parroted by leftist propaganda media in many opinion pieces. It’s not true and easily disproveable, mostly because Dr Fauci made multiple public statements in January and February that the US had nothing to be concerned about.

The "carefully constructed denial of reality" seems correct.

The false basis for the Iraq war is a good example. It was a lie, and most people suspected it was a lie, but they wanted to attack someone and the actual murders being Saudis made that difficult. So a carefully constructed denial of reality was used to make secular Iraq take punishment which should have rightly been imposed on The Islamic Dictatorship of Saudi Arabia. And it was difficult for the political right to meme about this, lest the lie be exposed.

Now it is the media, academia, and the Democratic Party which have been carefully constructing various denials of reality, and viciously attacking anyone who dares to point out the truth. The political left can't meme because they have to consult their victimization handbooks and look over their shoulders to make sure the PC police are OK with their memes. And those PC police just have no sense of humor at all.

The right, on the other hand, now has carte blanche to come up with whatever pithy and biting meme they like without worrying about the PC police at all, or about contradicting a web of lies.

So memes from the right these days are like guerrilla warfare, hit and run without worrying about centralized authority, or keeping straight lines while attacking, etc. Meme creators on the right can just go for it! That's a ton of fun, and very effective psychologically.

It's not left or right, it's whose lying and who isn't. I am fully aware that Obama was lying. So was Bush. This isn't a left and right issue. Obama was a clone of Bush with a great tan after a diction class. He wasn't at all different.

The people who unreasonably hate Trump and are complaining that Clinton, that warmonger, isn't president - they are wrong. Those people can't meme, because they are lying. That's the only reason they can't.
