Despite player and coach objections, multiple green sex toys have been thrown at the court during live WNBA games over the last week. Crypto-based prediction market Polymarket is letting people stake money on whether more disruptions will occur as soon as Wednesday night, after one anonymous user earned more than $6,000 following the latest illegal stunt.

You don't think this whole thing is just made up marketing campaign to try to get people to actually pay attention to sport no one cared about prior to it? I wouldn't be surprised that some exec came up with that on power point, and someone decided to make it happen to see if they can get attention.

No. For a flash in the pan type thing sure. Can't turn around women's basketball though. Not gonna happen.

With middle school and a high schooler now, the female games are half attended compared to boys. Even your parents don't want to go to their daughters games. If you're into basketball, it's flat out shit on the female side. I can't watch female basketball. It takes every bit of me to restrain myself from running on the court and beating the shit out of them. I'm not joking.

Even boys basketball is shit now and mens NBA. It's trash. I get 3 is more than two, but you're 50% more likely to miss it and all 5 players are standing outside the 3 point line. Run and rebound is what I tell my son. An easy layup or outlet pass for an assist. He usually gets a triple double most games. Probably a 12pts/10rb/10ast stat line. You win that game with a player like that.

Grew up on the Bulls though watching every game. WNBA needs to lower the rim if they want more entertainment factor. Women can't do a 10' rim. Moving it down to 8' would help immensely but still probably not profitable. They need to be able to dunk and get away from this 3 point shit.

Never got the appeal of Stern. Never thought that he himself was funny. His producers and audio guys bump the low EQ to make his voice have more bass. He's a squeaky Jew and he tried to hide it. He's an insecure man, if I can even call him that.
