She's no techie, but I have no doubt that this is a totally realistic scenario. Do you think anybody checks anything these days when it comes to tech? You have spamazon employees listening in on Alexa consumer sheep, cameras and microphones that can be turned on and off on a whim - and you expect a bureaucrat to catch that? Ports are left open all the time, it's very easy to get remote access to almost any machine that is not properly secured by an absolute geek. I think the allure of such a scheme lies in the fact that people will have a hard time believing it, aka plausible deniability.

Plus companies these days are all global, with a jungle of subdivisions and subsidiaries in many countries. The only way to prevent fraud is to demand that everything wrt electronic voting is carried out on American soil only by a purely American company, under supervision from properly vetted NSA cybersecurity experts. And/or open source everything, but then you still have to prove that the code running in those machines is actually the code you open sourced.

I'm pretty sure there was a raid and servers (why would they say so if there wasn't?), but they will need to prove more and this is definitely tricky. But I have zero doubt believing that this is more than possible. Pretty much any piece of technology you use these days was made in another country.

I don't think Team Trump are bluffing. Trump is first and foremost a negotiator. I think Powell's sword rattling is more about shaking the tree to see what falls out, but holding out the possibility of latitude. It's more like a DA settling with perps to allow an outcome in which some might walk if they talk. The result will be imperfect, but will work toward a particular goal.

The gamble is that if Trump finds his path to holding on to the White House, do you really want to be on the wrong side of things when he loses all of his inhibitions about prosecution?

I think they are trying to expedite things to get Trump into victory, and while things are 'soft', they might be amenable. When things go 'hard', those opportunities might be too little too late for the guilty.

Sure but Benford's law is not that hard to understand. It's very basic statistics and probabilities. If the leftoid schools wouldn't have failed their students by teaching unscientific race baiting bullshit and liberal arts as opposed to math they would all understand easily. It's all part of the plan. Anybody with an advanced science or math degree can grok this within minutes if not seconds, that the distribution of votes as they happened over time was impossible.

The Media's excuse is that they were "Primed" to think of Fraud, but the Media pushed the opinion (not fact) that Election Fraud was "Exceedingly Rare" for months and that Election Results "Would dramatically change" after Election Night. Months before the election Big Tech and Corporate Media was pushing that line.

What's ironic is that the media and press had abundant coverage in the past 10 years about the dangers of hacking voting machines, how easy it was to do it by hackers with physical access, etc. etc. etc.

Nobody can be declared the official winner until their is a complete audit and investigation of the election, including the Dominion Voting Machines and why Republican pollwatchers were chased only out of Monopoly Dem counties by Dem Officials only after Election Day when the mail ins were being counted (not ON election day when it was in person voting), unlike all the other counties in the states in Question. How Mail In Ballots went 65% for Biden until 11PM, when at 3-4AM several states simultaneously found 90%+ Biden votes on Mail In ballots after a pause in the count... all simultaneously in states with very different laws and systems - and just enough to swing the election, even where Trump was winning by near double digits.

As every single study on voting methods and fraud has concluded, mail in ballots are the #1 vector for fraud by long shot. Including a big one done by Carter & Bakker together in 2009.

Anything less is putting democracy at risk.

I am in the camp that I want the voting apparatus fixed first, worry about Trump later. I would be unhappy with a Biden 'victory' but i would accept it if it is not at the expense of our democracy.
i'm more vested in getting the voting apparatus right than in Trump's being re-elected, even though i would like that to be the outcome.
