So, I repeat my point: with Trump, the provocation of Russia stops, and the war in Ukraine ends. Presidents who threaten to end wars are sometimes shot at by lone gunmen. And those lone gunmen are, in turn, shot dead. And the archives about that remarkable act of lone gunmen sometimes remain sealed for a remarkably long time, much longer than they usually do.

No need to go as far as 1945: see Bucha, Izyum, Mariupol, Kherson and hundreds small towns and villages.

Red Army is and has always been a horde of war criminals.

Curious to see if Ukraine will be able to hold onto the territory they just conquered in Russia this week. Assume the goal is to divert Russian troops from other active lines and perhaps a future bargaining chip if they end up negotiating a settlement with land swaps.

Unfortunately no. Russia will keep chugging along. Putin doesn't care. His time on life is running out. Dying people make stupid decisions because they have nothing to lose and Russia has more men to throw at this for a decade. And I'm not saying he's dying, but 71 is no spring chicken especially for men.

Basically he personally has nothing to lose. He's entrenched in power. Any family he has is and will be wealthy for at least a generation or two. Until the oligarchs kids go to war, which won't happen, this can go on for decades. There may be a cease fire, but round two will come shortly after. It would take an entire collapse of the nation and that doesn't seem apparent.

Either way it's a stupid war. And even if Russia wins, they decimated everything they wanted to gain and will have to rebuild it. So I really don't see either side "winning" at all. It's already lost for both sides.

Right. Stupid Ukey Nazis lured into a trap to be slaughtered is 'territory they just conquered in Russia' now.

Over 400 Russians killed in Himars attack near Kursk? Presumably a convoy sent to reinforce this unprotected area that Ukraine gobbled up?

https://radaronline.com/p/russian-troops-killed-state-of-emergency-ukraine-attack/

Been shocking how locked Russia and Ukraine have been for 2+ years in trench battle with very little movement on the battle lines. This is the first breakout "thunder run" type movement we have seen since Russia's initial invasion.

Politically it has to be embarrassing to Putin. Ukraine has gained more enemy land in a couple days than Russia has done in the past year. We will soon see if it has strategic value as well.
4067   RWSGFY   2024 Aug 9, 3:37pm

The most important thing now is to immediately stop the bloodshed. Russia must hand over the Kursk, Belgorod, Bryansk, Oryol, Kaluga and Voronezh regions to Ukraine. It does not matter who these territories belong to. The main thing is that peaceful people stop dying!
4070   DOGEWontAmountToShit   2024 Aug 9, 11:27pm

Checkmate!

Now that Russian territory has been officially invaded by the stupid Ukeys, Putin can legally deploy hundreds of thousands of reservists into the war that he previously could not before. Yes, Russia has laws. No, Putin is not a dictator. Powerful, yes. Corrupt, yes.

So is our POTUS.

More than a week Nazis are freely making lampshades out of Soviet citizens in Kursk oblast and Pukin is pretending nothing is happening. If SCHMO is still going according to plan, does it mean that OUR GREAT CHRISTIAN LEADER planned for his subjects to be turned into lampshades by blood-thirsty Zalensky regime Joo Nazi goons? SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!

you guys remind me of retarded republicans in 2002 who were chest pounding wanting more troops in Iraq. now you do same stupid stuff but with Ukraine. We need to just cut it off and leave it. Ukraine is not our responsibility and we shouldn’t pay taxes for military industrial complex neocons to war profiteering (the group that installed Biden puppet). friends look in the mirror and you will see previous fools. i don’t mean this in judgemental ways. i’ve been a fool plenty. but i see the government lie and see through bullshit sale this one time. don’t fall for it fellow patnetters. this is the new neocon war.
4077   DOGEWontAmountToShit   2024 Aug 16, 8:53am

Ukraine’s invasion (of Kursk) was a major strategic blunder, which will accelerate its defeat. The key determinant of success in a war of attrition is the casualty-exchange ratio, not capturing territory, which Western commentators obsess over. The casualty-exchange ratio in the Kursk offensive decisively favors Russia for two reasons. First, it has caused relatively few Russian casualties because Ukraine’s army effectively overran undefended territory. Second, once alerted to the attack, Moscow quickly brought massive airpower to bear against the advancing Ukrainian troops, who were in the open and easy to strike. Unsurprisingly, the attacking forces lost many soldiers and a huge proportion of their equipment.

To make matters worse, Kyiv removed top-notch combat units from the front lines in eastern Ukraine — where they are desperately needed — and made them part of the Kursk strike force. This move is tilting the already lopsided casualty-exchange ratio on that critically important front further in Russia’s favor.

The existing nuclear power plant that the Russians captured and presumably trashing (because that's what Russians do) hasn't blown up yet. And it won't because it's shut down. The same thing will happen at the Kursk nuclear power plant. It will get shut down if Ukranian troops get close enough, assuming that it hasn't been shut down already.

In Proxy War news, yesterday the Washington Post ran a surprising story headlined, “Ukraine’s offensive derails secret efforts for partial cease-fire with Russia, officials say.” The sub-headline explained, “The warring countries were set to hold indirect talks in Qatar on an agreement to halt strikes on energy and power infrastructure, according to officials.”

Now they tell us. It was a ‘secret’ because media never reported it till now. Apparently, Ukraine and Russia were planning to meet, to discuss de-escalating their tit-for-tat energy strikes, which Russia is clearly winning, since the lights are still on in Moscow while most of Ukraine is sitting around in the dark.

As they say in Westeros, winter is coming. Astonishingly, WaPo admitted Ukraine is on the breaking point:

"We have one chance to get through this winter, and that's if
the Russians won't launch any new attacks on the grid," an
Ukrainian official who was briefed on the talks said.

The same official explained, “energy is definitely critical for us; we’re facing free fall if there’s no light and heat in the winter.”

Facing free fall. Not literally. He meant it’s lights out, comrades. Game over.

Why would Russia want to agree to stop its effective infrastructure attacks? WaPo didn’t say. Nevertheless, the parties had been optimistic about a potential deal. WaPo’s anonymous diplomat said, “Kyiv and Moscow had both signaled their readiness to accept the arrangement in the lead-up to the summit.”

But then Ukraine invaded Russia last week. Now Moscow says “nyet.”

The Ukrainians seem to have missiled themselves in the foot again. Their ‘daring invasion’ into a small rural district in western Russia isn’t likely to produce any benefit, and has scuttled the delicate ‘secret negotiations:’

Military analysts have expressed skepticism that Ukrainian
forces can maintain control of the Russian territory. Moscow
has also continued to make gains in eastern Ukraine's
Donetsk region and has not diverted troops from there to
defend the new Ukrainian assault.

If the Ukrainians had somehow managed to grab the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant ahead of these secret talks, they might have held a royal card to play. But they never even got close.

Zero hedgehog has shat the bed. Again. All Ze Germanz did was they decided to switch from financing the aid from German taxpayer's funds to using Soviet frozen assets instead (not directly, but as collateral for a loan, but the eventual fate of it is pretty much set).

Most Russian casualties are not Russian.

This answers one of mysteries socal2 brings up.

https://english.elpais.com/international/2022-10-07/putins-conscription-drive-targets-russias-ethnic-minorities.html

Basically, Chechens, Tartars, Turkics, Buryats, etc. have been used as cannon fodder. Their families get a goat.

So you see @socal2 , I was correct in calling out your ~300,000 Russian casualties figure as bullshit. It's because most are not Russian. The body bags have been sent to Ulan Ude and Grozny more than to St. Petersburg or Moscow.

YOU WERE correct, however, in mentioning those numbers in terms of Russian Army losses, if somewhat inflated.

This has benefits other than the above. By killing off the young men of these groups, Moscow stamps off future rebellion in their home regions for about 15 - 20 years, too. And, these regions have been outbreeding the Russian ethnos for years now, but no more.

And they can have Russian veterans colonize these areas after the war, too. Lot of young unmarried/widowed Dagastani pussy to make Russian babies with, after all. Like what the Chinese are doing to the Uighurs.

This Dagastani beauty doesn't know it yet, but she'll be pushing out the half-slavic children of Cpl. (ret) Anton Russiancocksy in the coming years:

Planting a small nuke in a nuke reactor is a way of disguising the use of a nuke. That's what 'Security Experts' did at Fukushima to blow the reactor during the tsunamai and earthquake (triggered by other nukes offshore at vulnerable fault lines). The Fukushima reactor did not blow spontaneously as alleged. The earthquake, tsunami and Fukushima were blackmail of Japan using ecoterrorism. They were artificially induced.

The Beirut harbor explosion a couple of years ago was a nuke. The MSM etc. never cover these as such because it would mean 'gloves off ' nuclear war, but small nukes it seems have been used in various ways in recent years. They can make them smaller with minimal radiation it appears.

They are like DEW weapons, which nobody wants to acknowledge but have been around now for some time.

All 3 wrong, lol.

We're still at huge suplus of aid vs frozen and soon to be confuiscated Soviet assets, the inflation here was caused by $4T Covid scam, not $60B arms deliveries and after third week of Pukin losing ground in Kursk and pretending nothing is happening the WW3 masturbators should just stop masturbating - it ain't habbening.

PS. No, sorry, one is partially correct: there is a very high inflation in the warmonger's country ruled by illegitimate Moscow regime. 25% inflation actoss tge board and consumer and upward of 40% on food and energy. All caused by the aggressive imperial war they started.

And now Puking comes out and outright refuses to negotiate. What happened to "immediate ceasation of hostilities according to the reality on the ground"?

I don't like either party in this war. Ultimately it's stupid. Too much money, material, lives and destruction has been spent. For what? Neither party has outlined an end game. On paper it looks like two short buses got into an argument and started a street fight with retards stumbling out the door.

If nothing has been done about Hunter at this point, nothing ever will be. At the end of the day if there's something legally provable just prove it. And no, I'm not saying Hunter isn't shady as fuck, but there's legal means to go after him. No one has apparently in any meaningful way. Joe is still probably sleeping right now. Kamala is hiding. We literally don't have an executive branch at the moment. This election cannot come fast enough....
