I know it's traditional to pick an incompetent as VP, but let's say that Trump picks DeSantis as VP.

What a ticket! And Trump would have no worry about competing with DeSantis anymore.

60 Minutes, which used to be a news organization, already did a hit-piece so bad that even the Clinton News Network is defending him.

You know you are over the target when you are taking flak.

Can we strap one of these a-holes down in the chair and continually beat the fuck out of him until he:

1.) Defines the term fascist.
2.) Provides 5 specific factual actions that demonstrate fascist acts.

I saw a Gen X video clip today describing how kids used to play outside and learned various life skills/lessons because they were locked out of the house all day in the summer and had to figure out things on their own. One of the learned lessons they stated was that if you tapped off about some bs you got socked by a bigger tougher kid, and so you learned not to yap about stupid things.

I feel like that’s been lost on the current generation.

You mean a younger, suitable candidate for the next President of the United States ?

So much reporting. Literally the only quotes from the supposed expert. Not one definition of fascism, not even an effort to demonstrate how Trump or Desantis are fascist.

Horrible, horrible that anyone prints this utter garbage. The writers, editors, and publishers of this spew can go to hell.

Ben-Ghiat has written several essays making her argument.

"He's clearly readying himself for a national run, whether it's in 2024 or later. And he's a very dangerous individual," Ben Ghiat said. "He's dangerous because he is equally repressive, but doesn't have the baggage of Trump. It's hard to have the baggage of Trump."

"What we do find in history is prosecution, in the longer term, is one of the only things that deflates these guys' personality cults, because those cults are founded on the idea that they are invincible, they are infallible," Ben-Ghiat said. "Now, if that does happen to Trump — DeSantis has already absorbed all the lessons of Trump."

Interesting, but I'm concerned that would bring in all the baggage of Trump. I'd rather Trump retire from mainline politics, support DeSantis, and just give Fox news guest appearances.

Let me explain your horrible wrongness here.

Trump is flawed in a lot of ways, MANY ways, but he took on the system and won. He beat the intelligence agencies, he ended up destroying our "news" system, he punked the DOJ showing that they were corrupt, and he drove down energy prices, made some good investments in the nation, and appealed to the blue collar working class, the people we NEED - these people are the most essential people in our economy. I'm THEIR servant.

I'd rather that the wrecking ball comes back into office. He won't be allowed to, but it would be best if he did. There's still plenty of corruption and criminality that hasn't been addressed in our government. Our "news" media still exists, despite lying about Russian Collusion for 4 solid years - and every war. The CIA and FBI are still entirely corrupt run by criminals.

He won the last election. I'd rather see him go back - but he won't allowed to be. We don't have legitimate elections. If DeSantis is elected, that just means he's controlled opposition. DeSantis seems like a good guy, in this world, that's a red flag. OBAMA seemed like a good guy.

Not one definition of fascism

Because if they were to publicize the definition of "Fascism" - gov control of everything, but gov not owning industry, and that gov controlling info and outlawing dissent, that would look too much like the Dem Party. The Dems would rather just let the term "Fascism" be vague and have the public see Fascists as "meanies we do not like."
