Number of children by political affiliation.

Leftism is self-exterminating, but it will take a while, and they will continuously try to convert the children of conservatives to replenish their numbers.

Rasing kids is so hard because we've stopped training, within families, how to care and nurture for the most vulnerable. Largely this is the fault of 3rd and 4th wave feminism combined with the economic reality that is the destruction of the 20th century middle-class by globohomo and government design.

Families that have only one child lack the training dynamic that 6- or 8-children families had; namely, the oldest girl tends the younger children while the mother nurses the youngest. Older boys help/mock the younger boys, with occasional guidance from the father when they fuck up or ask questions.

Children today are profoundly lacking both the skills and the sense of purpose that helping a family gives a child.

Bring it back - the family is the crucial source of early learning for every child.

Good points. Another problem, working middle class couples foot the bill for everyone else. It becomes cost prohibitive to raise children, one parent works just to pay daycare. And whereas in the seventies one income could support a household, now two to four incomes are needed just to pay the rent/mortgage. The reproductive crisis is largely an economic problem.

Moscow and London.

Yesterday saw a sticker F*k (full form) Putin on an expensive car. I think, he must go to London and stay.

More of an expectations problem. Families have dual incomes to support a lifestyle. In the 60s/early 70s you referred to, home life for a family was:
one car
one phone
small house
one TV
one bathroom

Now think of all the single mothers today who live like that on one income. Clothing is cheap today, so no sewing like the wife above had to do.

I think she did this country a favor. None of her diseased spawn will ever endanger our communities or our political system.

She was probably post-wall anyway, so it's not like she sacrificed anything other than an essentially barren womb.

Correct. However, it's the iron costs of living that are up - health, housing, cars, etc. while the costs of luxury items are down.

We need to reverse the post-Cold War era and go back to cheap, modest housing and good, non-seed oil frankenfood, but expensive extras.

One GREAT thing is to restore Set-floor rates for flights like it was in the 80s and get the shitraff off the Airlines which are already Greyhound. A few hundred extra bucks in plane tickets would work wonders not just for quality of air travel, but also reduce costs of airports and reduce STDs and crime.

Yes, Planet Reality That You Are In Denial Over.

No you don't live in planet reality. You likely live in a shit hole area hence all the whiney posts. I'm sorry but Californians are the bitchiest people I've ever read stuff from for how great the state is supposedly.

Some of you guys need to stop acting like CA is the rest of the country. It's not.

I live in a shitty state dude. I'm just sick of the Californians on this forum thinking the rest of the country is like their state. It's not. Brand new homes for $300k down the block here.

Unless you're an alcoholic or druggie and can work a job, you'll do much better in other states. If you can't get a loan for $300k, you're one of the above. Or you live in an overpriced area, don't leave it, and don't realize that there are better places.
199   WookieMan   2025 Apr 1, 2:15pm

Here's what it's like in the Midwest. Youtube I know. It's reality though. That's not happing in CA or FL or NY where no one gives a shit about community. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/N027R2eaeMM

And no, calling you out on your hypocrisy on this is not me 'the rest of the country is like my state'. It's just you projecting that onto me.

Probably in CA. I hang with a bunch of mid 30's guys and women. Almost all own a home and have kids. I'm the geezer. No one lives with mom or dad or has roomates either.

This is why I say the country is vastly different than coastal residents understand. If you're from a coastal area no on wakes up and says lets got to IL, MO, IA, MN, AR, OK, MS, AL, IN, MI, etc. A lot of you guys don't see the reality but are in overpriced areas.

I find this 100% believable.

We have two toddlers. Our third child is on the way. Federal regulations mean that we are required to buy a bigger car than our CR-V if we want our family to legally ride together in the same car.

I have 0 idea how that’s supposed to work if you’re a working class parent

29-year old childless women are fatter today than 30-year old women from the 1950s who already had 2-3 kids.

BTW, vanity sizing has gone apeshit. My mom's friend, a skinny woman who was basically a Size 4 her whole life, can't buy Size 4 clothes anymore, they're humunguous on her. She has to specialty shop for XXS, and even those are too big.

I read somewhere that a 2000s era "M" is now like "S" for women now.

Get a car with a 3rd row? Different occupation and make more? Minivan?

If you're a dual income household and didn't plan you're kind of an idiot. I know that's blunt. Other option is to move where it's cheaper. People set these stupid American Dream wishes. You have to work for it. Never has it been given just because you live here.

this was never expensive. cost of living skyrocketed. permanent inflation did it. inflation that was intentional.

Or, kids laid out in the back of the Station Wagon and the Insurance Industry didn't get the government to force people to have kids in seats. There was talk of making seats mandatory up to age 12, which means now people have to buy at least 3 seats, planning or no planning (since an infant seat won't hold a Kindergartener won't hold a pre-teen)

This. That's what station wagons were for. Long trips were cool, since you could just jump around in back when you got bored.

Then there were the obligatory accidents were all the kids died and they passed laws to require child seats (which small children absolutely HATE).

Got swiped in a Pinto Squire when I was 7 and riding in the back. Some tipsy woman turned right into us as we slowed down from a red light. Good fortune for my dad, if you remember what the Pinto was infamous for.

I also remember driving down the Southern State in my Granddad's Gunboat about the same age, him taking me to OTC and getting me a "Meatburger" at White Castle, sitting in the front whenever with one parent, and never sitting in a car seat that I can recall. Granddad was wild, he placed a few $1 bets after the weekend edition of the Racing Form arrived. He dropped out of HS about age 14 and autodidact from the WSJ and the Bible and Crossword Puzzles.
221   Ceffer   2025 May 18, 8:00pm

My whole family with five kids were hauled around the USA twice in station wagons when he had to move for Navy, no special seats, just rotated the lay down parts. You learn a lot of fart jokes and stayed in stinky motels.

The deaths were going to happen post WWII as kids born then are in their 70's to late 80's. The birthrate is kind of dramatic. France is fucked for the next 20-30 years. What are the men doing over there? You're talking 2045 best case to correct course and it's called fucking a woman daily.

If I was single I'd be in France in heartbeat. Pump, dump and run. Probably would make the French more tolerable with some American semen getting things done.

Concur. I was in Provence for a few months in the 1990s. Gorgeous, but with accents that made them sound like cartoon characters. Even the older women had nice bods.
