Looks like AB inBev has finally fired the agenda pushers in their marketing department. This according to private conversations with wholesalers.

AB InBev announces new ad campaign as Bud Light sales continue to crater

Yep, and "If you don't buy our beer, you're hurting everyday people" is the first advertisement.

At least they are upfront that they use rice. But allow me to laugh if a middle aged White Woman is tying the hops to strings in 2023.

'So Unprecedented': Kevin O'Leary Says Bud Light Is The Gift That Keeps On Giving, Plans To Teach Its 25% Market Share Collapse To College Students

“Beer is a commodity, the only difference is brand, so you really have to protect your brand every way you can,” he said.

“If you don’t understand who’s buying your brand and you enrage them, which seems to be what happened here, you don’t know the outcome. And now we can measure it — 25% market share.”

O’Leary also intends to share the insight with his students.

“This is so extraordinary that I’m planning to teach it this fall in the colleges that I visit and guest lecture at. I’ve never seen a brand case like this one,” he said, later adding that “Bud Light is the gift that keeps on giving.”

My recommendation to Anheuser-Busch is to shutdown, turn off the lights and get lost. They are idiots.

Awesome. The prediction is coming to fruition hours after being made.

I want The Bud disaster to be the first topic in brand destruction and what not to do that every Business Major hears for the next 20 years in Marketing 101.

It's just too much of an easy and direct lesson for a business school instructor/lecturer to not use.

If you're offering 90% off your product on one of the biggest BBQ/Party weekends of the year, things are not going well.

Agreed, but this is a production/inventory issue. If retailers aren't moving it, the distributors inventory is at max and the production facility is at max. It was already made and paid for. The three stages to shelf are maxed out. No different than covid messing up supply chain. This is just from a boycott. It's not like you just drain the tanks and stop making it altogether.

Fact is this is just an advertising gimmick that hopefully clears up the backlog of cases and they can adjust production. People can get basically free beer. If it was your beer of choice they'll likely win you back. It's marketing and clearing out the supply chain. AND no one is talking about the tranny anymore, just that they're giving away free beer basically.

They make this right overnight by putting out a commercial that they made a mistake. Doesn't need to be manly and it should offend tranny's. Guess what, highly unlikely they even drink beer. Piss them off. It's okay to piss off tranny's and their friends, they likely never drank the beer anyway.

'They Just Stopped Buying': Bud Light Is Now Selling For Less Than Water In Some US Warehouses
134   fdhfoiehfeoi   2023 Jul 6, 10:47am

They tried a new commercial, still got mocked. The brand is dead, never coming back. @Eric Holder feel free to add that to predictions, I'm fairly confident in the outcome.

The new display at the Supermarket (Winn Dixie) is 10 feet in height, festooned with token American symbols. It's $5 for 18 bottles after rebate, and nobody is buying.

Being a block off the beach this July 4th weekend, the place was jammed when I went in to buy some buns and rolls, and still the Bud languished unbrought. The other beer shelves were fairly picked through, about half-capacity, some areas totally empty. But the Blue Bud Light boxes were still completely full.

Great to see.

Costco updates their stock pretty often. If it doesn't sell, they stop carrying it.
138   AmericanKulak   2023 Jul 14, 10:51pm

Fantastic News on the Costco dump.

Don't believe the hype, any decline in Bud will be made up with other beers, the distributors will be fine. Pretty much no distributor depends solely on one company.
139   Eman   2023 Jul 14, 10:59pm

“Costco has not made any public comment on Bud Light and does not publicly discuss stocking decisions. So the question of whether the chain will fully remove Bud Light from its warehouse clubs remains open.”

This is a symbolic destruction.

I don't think companies should be allowed to engage in this bullshit. Destroying a brand, a label, even if it doesn't harm the company, is still sending a message of "stop with this shit".

This makes sense in red Florida. Hell, even in deep blue California the Bud drinking is super way down. Halfway through an Angels game the Budweiser pavilion was empty and the few there were drinking other labels.

Distributors no longer expecting Bud Light Sales to recover.

Excellent. Nothing disciplines a company better. Next time they'll be more skeptical when their Urban Professional Millie Bluehair Marketing Exec suggests more Wokey-Dokey.

man those executives in their fancy offices, they still don’t comprehend the evil they aligned with promoting tranny shit. no fucking morals.

I think the difference between cancel culture and boycotts, one is done by fringe radicals who don't have the numbers, the other is done by the rest of us.
