That works. I just gave up drinking in secret. I simply don't care. People are led to fear police and "authority." I don't. What are they going to do with a guy sipping a beer causing no problems? While someone is on meth or fentanyl. Police WANT a controlled drinker in the mix of things.
Sober people will be righteous. Other drunks will fight. You have to be able to think at both levels. The only time I didn't stop it was bad, and the only time I got punched (sucker punched) as an adult. Pretty sure they were on cocaine as well. Otherwise I've easily broken up a dozen of fights. Nashville has been the worst of all places I've dealt with it. I think 3-4 there. I've dragged dudes out and given them cigarettes and talk them down. Guess what, no cops involved and they were called in most cases. These are randoms, no one I know.
The days of punching a dude in the mouth and walking away in public are over. You will go to jail. I've yet to have been attacked, but I'll grab any of them by the shirt and drag them outside. Chicks you want to attract (good chicks) don't find dudes punching each other in the bar or hotel lobby attractive. That's my go to. Even if wasted they sit there and think. He's (I'm) right.

My wife's cousin likes cheap beer, so my wife bought her a six pack for a party this weekend. When she got home I saw the Bud Light and asked her if she remembered why no one drinks it anymore. She had forgotten, but said if she'd remembered, would not have bought it. I told her someone is going to make fun of it tonight.
Sure enough once everyone arrives, a Bud Light is pulled out for her cousin, and right away another family member remarks about it being tranny beer. My wife starts laughing, and I told them I knew this would happen.
Her family is Mexican, not very political, all lived in California forever, and even they know. Another cousin mentioned you can no longer go into AutoZone and ask about tranny fluid. Spent the next thirty minutes joking about that.
Even in California Bud Light has few friends.
