My wife's cousin likes cheap beer, so my wife bought her a six pack for a party this weekend. When she got home I saw the Bud Light and asked her if she remembered why no one drinks it anymore. She had forgotten, but said if she'd remembered, would not have bought it. I told her someone is going to make fun of it tonight.
Sure enough once everyone arrives, a Bud Light is pulled out for her cousin, and right away another family member remarks about it being tranny beer. My wife starts laughing, and I told them I knew this would happen.

Her family is Mexican, not very political, all lived in California forever, and even they know. Another cousin mentioned you can no longer go into AutoZone and ask about tranny fluid. Spent the next thirty minutes joking about that.

Even in California Bud Light has few friends.

False. Played volleyball in rural redneck country last night. People were drinking it. Neighbors had it in their fridge. Kickball Sunday people drinking it. I'm telling you the stigma is and will wear off once summer starts and the initial shock wears off. I have no interest in it failing or succeeding. Wife's family has been in the restaurant/bar industry for decades. It ain't going anywhere.

I live by what I see and hear. Sales are down. Bud Light ain't going away though. We drink a decent amount and are out and about frequently. Bud is still being bought. I see people drinking it daily almost. We only know of one person that says they'll never drink an AB beer again. We know a lot of people. 1 out of 1,000 (at least). It's become a joke now and people will drink it to make conversation. This wasn't done on accident.

If you're talking about Bud Light, you're marketing for Bud Light. Let that soak in.

Exact opposite of what I'm seeing. Stacked a mile high in stores, nobody buying it, the only person I saw drinking Bud Light is because a neighbor gave him the last of a old case when he went back north to Minnesota and he laughed about it.

They're not giving away $20 rebates across the country because it's selling. Distributors are desperate to get rid of their inventory, as ImBev is for them to clear it out and order more.

The sales numbers are down 30% in the Southeast, that's massive.

Oh, and the Patel who owns the 7-11 is the only one who doesn't laugh when Tranny Fluid jokes are made. Probably because his display is a mile high and there's more in the walk in fridge.

As I've said I didn't and don't drink it unless out of desperation. I'm in a different market. I'm not seeing stacks of Bud in grocery stores. People are buying it at the bars I frequent 1-2 days a week for activities like volleyball. It's a midwest beer originally. Maybe that has something to do with it. I'm talking business which most of you here are contractors or W-2 employees and know nothing about business or running one.

I say this is bigger. It's not a rejection of Bud Light as a beer, it's nullification of sexually deviant values by the American people. I was just listening to an interview with a Tennessee senator where they talked about how the federal government was brought to their knees, and the War on Us largely rendered impotent by a bunch of pot heads. Think about it. Cannabis is practically legal today because of fucking stoners, people who sit around and "get the munchies" defeated one of the most powerful entities in this country.
