The Trump administration plans to continue using emergency authority to stop coal-fired power plants from retiring.

“This administration’s policy is going to be to stop the closure of coal plants,” Energy Secretary Chris Wright said Wednesday during an event held by the New York Times. Shutting down coal-fired power plants “that are working today” would drive up electricity prices, and hinder efforts to reindustrialize the US economy, he said.

Well. at least they get unemployment, unless the various states in which these people are unemployed has pilfered the unemployment insurance provided by the Federal Gub'ment. If the shutdown happens, then no emergency funds to states to shore up the unemployment $$ like what happened in 2020. States this time around will be fucked.

If a business can't make a budget they have layoffs, government should be no different. A lot of government jobs are just grifters and provide no real value to taxpayers.
