I wonder how many congressmen or connected people are collecting rent on those empty buildings.

Still no proof of any actual money being paid out to these archival accounts. Many systems are designed in such way as to never remove any records and SS is apparently one of them. So this hoopla is just "a tale, full of sound and fury". They saved bupkes, just rearranged some chairs on some deck.

"Still no proof of any actual money being paid out to these archival accounts."

Nonsense. If a person is listed in the Social Security database then he is receiving payments.

DOGE insider Sam Corcos, special adviser to the U.S. Treasury Department, just unloaded a jaw-dropping exposé on the IRS and Treasury’s chaotic operations.

He’s pulling the mask off, and it’s wild.

1]. IRS’ Massive IT Dept. Outstrips Midsize Banks by 175x Budget and 40x Staff

“A typical midsize bank will have somewhere between 1 and 200 people in IT and they have an operations and maintenance budget in like the $20 million a year range. We have 8,000 people in IT, and our operations and maintenance budget is $3.5 billion a year. I don’t really know why yet.”

2]. Contractors Eat Up 80% of IRS’ Massive Operations Budget

“I will tell that you 80% of that budget goes to contractors and licenses——We cannot perform the basic functions of tax collection without paying a toll to all these contractors.”

3]. IRS’ Modernization Is a $3.7 Billion Money Pit

“We have a $3.5 billion operations maintenance budget. We have $3.7 billion modernization effort within it. That’s a lot of budget and way beyond any reasonable cost for what you would expect at a private company for this.”

4]. Ghost Contracts Bleed Millions With No Accountability

“You find contracts that are 10, 20, 30, $50 million and you just ask like, why are we doing this? And everyone’s just like, meh, I don’t know. And then you cancel it and then nothing happens. It’s just inertia, has just taken over.”

The entire government runs like this.

Blah-blah-blah. Have they disclosed whether the alleged 369 yo guy's account got any real money transferred to it. Doesn't even require a long video, just some bank statements.

Video wasn't even about that. Good job exposing what a pantload of TDS you have, tho .

Reminds me of some PatNetters.

Love how the lady clearly has a Canadian accent.

Republican Senator Jim Banks calls a fired HHS worker a "clown" after the man followed him around, demanding he get his job back.

You could not have timed the elevator door closing better than this.

Worker: "Are you gonna do anything to stop what's happening?"

Banks: "You probably deserved it."

Worker: "Why why did I deserve it?"

Banks: "Because you seem like a clown"

Senior leaders at HHS put on administrative leave amid staff cuts - report.

Leadership at some agencies that are part of HHS have begun to receive notices stating they have been put on administrative leave, though they have been offered reassignment to locations far from Washington.

In addition, rank-and-file employees have begun to receive layoff notices, according to The Washington Post.

HHS had announced the layoffs on March 27 as part of a restructuring effort. The department said the staff reductions would save taxpayers $1.8B and cut its workforce to 62,000 from 82,000.

Among the high-profile employees placed on administrative leave, according to the newspaper, is Jeanne Marrazzo, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. She succeeded Anthony Fauci, a familiar face who played a central role in the country's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brian King, director of the U.S. FDA's Center for Tobacco Products, has also been placed on administrative leave.

Those offered reassignments have been given a choice of locations, such as Alaska; Billings, Mont.; the Navajo Nation; and Oklahoma. They are to submit their preference by April 2 at 5p, the Post reported.

If true that's crap. But I also always question where they get these net worths from? I know they have disclosure and forms they have to fill out. It is easy to hide money though. He could be having donors and lobbyist give him $9,900 cash daily 365 days a year. Wouldn't trigger a damn thing.

It's a game 99.9% of us don't know. There are so many loopholes in the system. Unless they inherited a family home paid off and invest and bank their salary for 40 years, even then no chance you have 85M. Maybe 15-20M at that salary.

It's a meme, thus no validation required. Someone on twatter said so and someome else made a screenshot. YOU CAN TAKE IT TO THE BANK AND DEPOSIT AS SOLID GOLD.

Of course, congresscritters do engage in insider trading. Chucky does, Pelosi does and MTG just did practically in the open.

Insider trading for Congress is specifically allowed. Despicable, but not nearly as bad as laundered bribes. At least with insider trading, there is nobody to grant favors to. Book deals, speaking fees, high paying jobs for relatives, and high paying jobs after leaving Congress all are paybacks for services rendered.

About $3k per taxpaying household. Makes for a decent weekend getaway.

Probably not. It's a meme. No one can copy and paste a link anymore or just type what they saw. The internet is becoming a picture book for adults. Or children? I don't know which at this point.

$3k for just a weekend? I need to start a travel thread. I can do that for 7 days with 5 people and it still be a great trip. Not a knock.

If it's just a couple I could turn that into a massive vacation. Or a really upscale 5 day trip.

To the OP I agree any cuts are good cuts. Not sure why people complain about it. Remember we've shut the border down basically. You have to figure that into the accounting.

The first Tesla Robotaxi network is coming out in 6 weeks in Austin, TX.

The latest version of Tesla FSD is absolutely amazing.

What Elon has already accomplished in rocketry with SpaceX alone is sufficient to give him wide latitude to be an independent set of eyes with DOGE IMO.

Meanwhile .. Waymo's are currently buzzing around in San Francisco (only a touch more difficult than Austin lol)

I don't even care about robotaxis, just that billionaires are not accountable and actively fuck us for even more billions.
