Some skilled illegal construction workers can make $3k cash in a couple weeks so it's not much for them so they'll try to dodge as much as possible. In CA, that may be forever. What's next, $9k ? And these people should be the ones to go so legals and citizens may get these opportunities. What's more likely is kids and deadbeats on welfares would take the deal and that's BS!

For example concrete finishing is a very skillful talent and in high demand. I've heard of up to $600 cash per person per job for a 4-5hr job in CA. Regardless of the sqft, that's the time window in which they have to finish so for larger jobs, they'd just get more finishers. That's still cheaper for the LEGAL construction company owner(s) who have these guys on speed dial. They still charge the full costs to the customer anyhow but pocket a larger profits so no net benefits to the customer and as usual, leaving out legal or citizens who may have the skills. I do not believe they'd be attracted to this offer so may as well be NOTHING !

A Texas father rescued his abducted teenage daughter on Christmas Day by using her cellphone’s location after she was kidnapped by a knife-wielding man.

Officers with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home around 4:50 pm on Christmas Day after a 15-year-old girl failed to return home from walking her dog. Using parental controls on his daughter’s phone, the father was able to track her location to a “secluded, partially wooded area” that was located about two miles away.

The father, who was not publicly identified by the sheriff’s office, went to the location himself, where he found his daughter and her dog inside a pickup truck with a partially nude man. He was able to safely retrieve his daughter and return home, where they proceeded to contact the sheriff’s office.

The suspect was identified as 23-year-old Giovanni Rosales Espinoza. Investigators said he had threatened the teenager with a knife. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with aggravated kidnapping and indecency with a child. Espinoza is being held in the county jail without bond as the investigation continues.

According to KHOU, the suspect was unknown to the family. Authorities said the family is relieved that the girl is home safely and recovering from the incident.

Happy ending, or only 1/2 way ? The story feels incomplete and leaves me scratching my head I just have to vent a little.

So the father withheld his ability to track the daughter's location during the first call to the cops, then went there to "retrive her safely" by himself, then called the cops again after returning home? Then the perp was arrested ?

My first thought was, did he go there alone intending to kill the perp in secret? I was hoping for that, it's TX after all, could have been justified and should have been the only outcome. The location was "wooded and secluded" and no one would know or miss that pos. Did he change his mind when he got there ?

Ok maybe he's not as crazy as I am, fine.... but what made the perp remain there to get arrested? Was he tied up? injured? knocked out? etc.... And are there crazy leftist lawyers and judges trying to come up with bogus charges to free the perp and arrest the father ?
