They haven't cut anything yet. They put some of it into the "big beautiful bill", but set cuts to start in year 2029... which translates into no cuts, since they'll quietly repeal them by 2029. It's bullshit as usual. More debt. Yeah I remember reading the Congressional Democrats budget proposal for 2024 was about 6% higher than the previous year. They don't even try to keep government spending increase no more than the annual inflation rate.

The majority of the tax burden is on the productive earners making between 150k - 1MM (roughly), preventing them from becoming truly financially independent. Instituting a flat tax on any earnings of max 20% is the way to go to make everyone pay their fair share. Wealth taxes can be used as temporary last resort on billionaires but flat tax, regardless of where and when money was made, is the way to go. Of course this includes cap gains so let's get rid of the stupid double taxation of capital gains. Just pay the flat tax. ABOLISH income tax NOW!

All these special rules by income, wealth, or duration of the gains just skewed the playing field and make it unfair.
