Sub-optimally, we did it, since there is nothing that can really carry bombs big enough in the IDF inventory.

Khameni vanished and neither he or his delegates were no shows the last negotiation offer by Trump in the past hours.

Should have taken the deal! It was the best deal.

Got rid of Iran's nuclear bomb development program (60% enriched uranium in the 100s of pounds can be for nothing BUT nuclear weapons)

Now it's time for peace - Peace through Strength. Not endlessly crossed redlines or negotiations to nowhere like Obama-Biden.

Duh .... Iran couldn't 'nuke Israel' prior to last night, and it's downright laughable that you would think that Iran could have successfully "nuked" America.

I know this is way over your head, but this is nothing other than another attempt at Middle East regime change. How well did all those others work out Kulak? Care to comment???

No answers until I get an explanation why 100s of kgs of 60% uranium enrichment was for.

The absurdities of 'international calculus'. Trump 'gave Israel what it wanted'. Now, Iran will have to take it out on Israel. The proxy got proxied.

Mistaken identity again in the fogs of bullshit. The bunker busters would ruffle dirt, but the damages would all be underground.

If you look closely that gray has a light shade of blue. The Iranians put it out with crop dusters when they detected the bombers. To protect them from ground penetrating DEW weapons that were required to soften things up before the bombs.

Voting for gay race communism and an open border because of some targeted strikes halfway across the world (which Trump had always supported) - this is just narcissism. "Me me me. Don't forget about me."

Name a single Middle East war or regime change conducted by the USA in the past 30 years that turned out well.

All of them were resounding successes for Lockheed Martin and Raytheon.

Russian leader claims multiple nations are ‘ready to directly supply Iran’ with nuclear weapons following U.S. attack

Russian leader Dmitry Medvedev warned that multiple nations are “ready” to supply Iran with nuclear warheads following the United States’ airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities on Saturday.

Medvedev, a former Russian president and current deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council issued a series of X posts following the United States’ attack against Iran.

Medvedev stated Iran’s “enrichment of nuclear material — and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons — will continue.”

Stereotomy had a good response here as to why 60% enrichment does not (necessarily) mean bomb-making :

“The assumption here is that only 60% enriched uranium will be used. How do you use 60% uranium? You mix it in with natural uranium to obtain the proper degree of enrichment for the reactor design.

Goddamn, this is done ALL THE TIME. Ever since the end of the cold war, there have been mixed fuel reactors - add some plutonium from decommissioned pits to natural uranium to create fuel rods.

This is pure propaganda. Every nuclear nation does this to some degree.

Also, nuclear subs and aircraft carriers use >80% enriched U235 to make their reactors very compact. This speaks to reactor design - the higher the degree of enrichment, the smaller the fuel mass needs to be and thus the smaller the reactor proper can be.”

How many nuclear powered submarines or aircraft carriers does Iran have, and have they completed just one functioning version of those small highly efficient reactors?

What commercial reactor needs hundreds of Kgs of 60%+ enriched U-235 to function?

Is Iran on the vanguard of efficiency or just working through it's first few domestic nuclear plant?

Is Iran the size and scope of US Industry that it needs to dispose of highly enriched uranium? Why bother in the first place?

Why is Iran delaying their commercial program by enriching so much 60%+ uranium instead of just going to 4-5%? 20% for one research reactor, tops.

Is the Enrichment step from 60 to 90% shorter or longer than 20% to 60%?
71   TheAntiPanicanLearingCenter   2025 Jun 22, 4:36pm

24-7-365 100% proof of Iran's benign intent at all times. All members of the IRGC and Ayatollah hooked up to a Mind Reading Device at all times, with a kill switch that makes a Harrison Bergeron device go off in their earlobe

OR

No capability, so no need to worry about intent.

Which one is a better guarantee of no nukes?
72   RayAmerica   2025 Jun 22, 4:40pm

Kulak,

Do you favor a pre-emptive bombing of North Korea because they hate us and have plenty of nukes? If not, why not?

(Answer: of course not. Where's the 'blessing' in that?)

What pre-emptive?

North Korea already has nukes (thanks Bill!), and China holds them on a tight leash economically and politically and militarily.

Iran does not have a nuke yet (at least we hope so). Iran is ruled by a Theocracy with an Apocalyptic Mission.

It's better to stop the crazy man from having a LMG, than to wait until after he's announced his willingness to clear the block of traffic.

A country that’s been embargoed for 45 years might not expect a ready supply of foreign-sourced 4% uranium. Hence the 100 kg stockpile of 60%.

To be facile, if I expected an orange juice shortage, I’d stockpile oj concentrate.

Can the Big and Little Satans disappear the world's 5th largest oil reserve from beneath the surface of Iran?
78   Ceffer   2025 Jun 22, 5:07pm

I think something else was going on with those sites, and nukes were and have been a straw man bogey. Iran can probably purchase black market nukes (or have them gifted) or use dirty bombs without enriched uranium. They already have the rockets to send such.

No radiation at all after the bombings? "Moving" the stockpiles out is another bogey. There would have been SOME kind of radiation signature after the bombings.

So, there was likely other kinds of tech thing going on there, and they likely have DUMBS that extend for long distances underground from the sites. They probably wouldn't have needed surface transport at all to move or remove anything.

Reactors aren’t easy to start and stop. I imagine they’d rather not run out of fuel for those, and prepared with enriched U accordingly. Sure, they could rely on fossil fuels. But that’s another topic of Iran wanting to seem technologically developed. Like their obsession with fighter jets and other symbolic displays of modernity.

But that’s another topic of Iran wanting to seem technologically developed. Like their obsession with fighter jets and other symbolic displays of modernity.

So they know they're under scrutiny, but decide to create a large stockpile HEUs and the ability to enrich further.

During the 60 days, Trump offers to provide commercial nuclear tech but the HEU enrichment must stop.

Again, this is Iran trying to run down the clock to October, when an agreement on sanctions against Iran if they are in violation of exceeding nuclear development limits expire:
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/12/world/middleeast/un-iaea-iran-nuclear-program.html

(Just for the rundown of what Trump wanted that Iran refused to comply with)

So Iran has every incentive to bog down the US with negotiations, continue to enrich Uranium, knowing the longer they delay, the transnational agreement to sanction it expires later this year.

Finally, building nuclear research facilities hundreds of miles feet underground isn't for public safety, it's to fend off what just exactly happened. Another strange intense use of resources that can only be explained by a desire to push towards a bomb - or the ability to make one in days or weeks.

I don't think any State depends on propeller planes anymore for Air Power.

When I want to build a peaceful nuclear energy program, I always build it deep below the surface where it requires 30,000-pound bunker busters to access it, while pledging to die rather than surrender it.

When a large country with clean energy offers me some fuel and tech so I don't have to do it all myself, I reject it. Just cause I like to spend lots of money as a mid-tier entity.

Because you see, I'm really passionate about clean energy.

Think about it for at least a minute, and you'll understand why a country might want to do that in Middle East.

What an unexpected outcome, Iran bombs the US base in Qatar:
https://www.jpost.com/middle-east/article-858726

I guess you don’t get peace through bombing. You also undo the friendships Trump had formed with Saudi peninsula countries.

How did Trump fall for this obvious trap? Of course Israel wants us to fight their regime change war in Iran. No, they don’t want the US forming durable alliances with wealthy Arab states.
