There were about 3 million federal civilian workers on Jan 20th, 2025.

That figure has been reduced by about 80,000 so far, and 154,000 took the early buyout and will be off the payrolls at the end of Sept. So, 234,000 workers reduced in 8 months. Or about 8% of the federal civilian workforce gone.

Reducing head count by 234,000 could save around $60 billion per year or $600 Billion over 10 years.

Not to mention all the regulations and red tape we will save by not having people needing to justify their jobs with stupid crap.

The incentive is there to come out if something happened.
