There are bigger forces at play here. Mainly de-centralization as people increasingly lose faith in central authority to know what's best for their lives. But that shit with PP selling body parts certainly didn't help.

Also modern ultrasounds that show just how baby-like a late term fetus is, along with more widespread knowledge of the butchery that abortions truly are.
102789   zzyzzx   2019 May 17, 11:18am

Abortion laws, as well as gambling, pot usage, and a few other things I can't think of at the moment, all need to be regulated at the state level. This is why we have states! Don't like it, you are free to move to another state!

Also, Alabama gives zero fucks and really doesn't want outsiders moving in and ruining it. Yes, I know this for a fact since I lived there for a year once.

So what you are really saying is that Americans need to become educated on the matters involving those whom they do business with and conciously make choices to do business only with those companies/private businesses that are equitable with their revenue, efficient with resources, and don't necessarily harm the environment we live in?

It's really up to all of us to vote with our dollar. You can't tell the businesses that GREED is their problem and THEY need to fix themselves, they have just said FUCK YOU, I am in business to make money. Rightfully so. They need to realize that if they don't operate in the manner I stated above that they will NOT MAKE MONEY. It is up to the buyer to push the terms of the contract, the seller is just trying to make as much money as possible. Buyer can't just say, well, I need this product/service/consumable so I HAVE to buy it no matter the terms. That is a FUCKING COP OUT.
102801   ForcedTQ   2019 May 19, 7:17am

Keep going. More tariffs. Farmers pissed? Too Bad. China will capitulate eventually, they have too many mouths to feed.

Ahh, but you will probably say that TRUMP is GREEDY for wanting to bring industries home, and will cause a mass die off in China due to tariffs on the food they NEED and can no longer afford, and all Farmers will loose their farms due to lack of sales....

Farmers will need to adjust to the market demands in what they grow, not unlike any other industry. Maybe we don't need to grow so many god damned soy beans and corn this year...

Kinda like the jobs we need here for all of the unaccounted for unemployed still on the sidelines if you actually look at the U-6 and other alternate numbers?

There are lots of Mitt Romney's. They would vote Democrat if they had anything better to do.
Mitt wears magical underwear, does that sound like a sane rational person to you? NO It does NOT, it sounds like a disgusting stupid Liberal.

I'm just humored that Liberals think Conservative voters are Lemmings and gives a fuck what other people do or did.
We're not shamed because Mitt Romney turn coated. Not in the least bit. We don't give three shits what deviants are doing nor their reason for doing it, we just want to inform them they are going to hell for it and God hates Fags. We don't care how they vote. That's a Liberal hang up.

Oh Ah Gee, lookey here, somebody says that somebody said, they'll never vote for Trump again. Guess we better change our ways.

The truth is that Trump’s approval rating is at an all time high.

If so he is in real trouble, I know "fake news" (from Fox) And yes it's early but...

Biden also performs best in hypothetical 2020 matchups. Among all registered voters, he leads Trump by 11 points (49-38 percent), up from a 7-point advantage in March. Biden’s is the only lead outside the margin of sampling error in the matchups tested -- and he is the only Democrat to push Trump’s support below 41 percent.

Sanders tops Trump by 5 points (46-41 percent) and Warren is up by two (43-41 percent), while Harris ties Trump (41-41 percent) and Buttigieg trails him by one (40-41 percent).
*The president’s reelect number holds steady at 38 percent, while 54 percent would back someone else* if the 2020 presidential election were today. In December, it was 38-55 percent.

Labor just got trounced in Australia, with a similar lead predicted for 2 years by the Polls. Hillary had a 90% chance of winning. Likely Voter polls are the most important.

Traditional Working Class Labour voters in the UK are ditching Labour for Brexit Party in the EU Elections in droves. The vote is on Thursday.

True, but I think the most worry some (for Trump) is this: The president’s reelect number holds steady at 38 percent, while 54 percent would back someone else. What does this number tell you? His re elect number is lower than his approval number. To me it means a certain number of people ( 8 to 10 %) are simply sick of the Trump show and just want an acceptable alternative. Can The Dems provide it?

The post yesterday found moderator @WookieMan pumping me for my personal information again ignoring the topic, feigning concern for my mental health and recommending I move away from the neighborhood he has no idea about whatsoever LOL.

I phrased my comment poorly in that other thread. I don't and never will expect anyone here to give information they don't want to, so my apologies.

I was merely addressing the fact you may live in a place that is not as accepting and with good neighbors. Where I live I know a large chunk of the people and most everyone would help each other at a moments notice. I find this to be the case with my peers and most places I travel in the states.

The focus on the bad element of every society, ALL the time is just annoying. If you have an issue either solve it or just come on patnet and bitch about it throwing out blanket statements about the US and the world. Just expect to get blowback from people that see the world as a vastly improved place in just the last 30 years for EVERYONE. Bad and negative people will always exist, but the constant focus on it is just mind numbing.

BTW Rolls Royce are really inferior cars as uppity as they want to appear.

They make, market and price their cars so they can sell them. Even places like McDonalds and Culvers try to make it seem like their product is the best and most superior even though we know it's trash. That's kind of the point and is a weird thing to pick on. If you own a small pottery business you're not going to market yourself as not being a quality product, even if you suck at it. I don't really get the point.

Robert Ewoldt told CNN he has been able to keep his farm afloat only by working a second job as a truck driver. “This is survival at this point. I mean, for a lot of operations it is a survival thing,” he said. Ewoldt added that he voted for Trump and now has regrets.

Any farmer that HAS to work a 2nd job likely fucked up their finances long before Trump came into office. A lot of farmers leverage their land with loans to buy the newest and shiniest toy so they can sleep while the machine does the work.

They then pretend like planting and harvesting for 4 weeks a year is tough work. Farmers have one of the most effective lobbying and marketing setups in the world of business to make you think they're some kind of heroes.

Waaah! Where's my handout? Where's my government subsidy? Where's my protection from cheap imported food? Where's my mandated ethanol?

Bunch of hypocritical, whiny cunts. When it's medical care or education, they are hard-line capitalists who made it themselves, by gum! When it comes to helping themselves, good lord, they sure do stick out their hands and beg.

Most American farmers are multi-millionaires. They are conglomerates or large land owners. The poor little American farmer struggling to plow his forty acres is a myth. They are all rich cunts with the snouts deep into the government trough. Just like car makers, airplane manufacturers, banks, defense contractors, professional sports teams, and just about anyone with money.

but don't let that stop you for voting for some cowardly, lying, cheating, tax-evading, constitution-shredding cunt who tells you he will kill all the Mexicans, Blacks, and Arabs and turn America into the land of paradise it was....when?
102820   Expat01   2019 May 20, 2:55am

It's okay because he is rich and he empowers mullet-headed racist cunts who vote for misogynistic, rich white men. If Trump were a democrat or, heaven forbid, a nigger, then this would be important. So, carry on...nothing to see here.

While you're not wrong about farmers financially, what is with the rant? Especially that last line. When did Trump say he was going to KILL Mexicans, blacks and Arabs? Pretty sure he's done nothing to the first two groups and has killed less than his predecessors regarding muslims.

You made a good point about farmers, but then pour gasoline on it and torch it to the ground with the other shit. If Trump is a problem for you, you may want to reassess your "feelings" being hurt.
102822   Tenpoundbass   2019 May 20, 5:59am

So is this something the FBI is supposed to look into or is it something where Maxine Waters walks on down to the branch and demands to see Trump's books?

You mean to tell me, Comey could have bit Trump in the Ass at anytime with Trump's bad Bank records but failed to do so?
I wonder how many hours Mueller has personally perused over every financial document that has ever been in Trump's hands?

This sounds like a big nothing Pizza.

Provided that we do not have economy crashing in next 1.5 yrs, he will be re-elected to chagrin of many. And partial reason will be D's, who, instead of fielding a decent candidate (Gabbard, for example), will choose a fossilized idiot like they did last time.

This situation became the slippery slope when everyone who works an honest living finds that they will not have a decent expectation of retirement unless they are also successful at investing.

What about people who don't want to retire? Or people who live within their means, and put their savings into assets not impacted by inflation? Seems like the real problem is reliance on a system designed to suck you dry.
102827   fdhfoiehfeoi   2019 May 20, 10:25am

Everyone should be scared of this possibility after the statement he made about going after people who opposed him, in the past. Trump isn't a dictator any more than Obama, Bush, etc. But statements like that should always cause alarm.
