Trump could, and probably will announce, that due to this outbreak. For the first time in modern History the Common Cold was politicized creating the Political desire to actually find a cure for the common Cold. As we all know the common cold is an over the counter drug staple. Without it, Walgreen's would have to wait for people to get sick and need drugs to make money. Cold and Flu like symptoms is what keeps these huge pharmacies open. They have wiped out the local pharmacies and depend on people treating cold symptoms.
So there has never been a political desire to cure the common Cold, we've had the technology to do so for well over 50 years. But we do not, because it would cut into over the counter drug profits.

I bet if Trump announced that we now have a Cure for all Corona Virus and most Rhinovirus strains, The Left would blow a fucking fuse, and say Trump handled it wrong.
The only proper way Liberals see Trump handling this would be for him to resign over it.

That feeling may be a form of wishful thinking. I still am hopeful that the worst case fears are way way wrong. It may be correct though to be preparing for the worst, even while hoping for a much less severe outcome. - especially since we know the human tendency towards denial with this type of thing.

Bring those that were successfully treated on TV. Discuss the testing and treatment to the American public. Show it works for a wide range of ages.

I went to Costco yesterday. Was crowded but not insane. We got all our usual stuff, they were out of water and paper towels and TP, but they had pallets of Gatorade! I remembered what was said about sick people using that to hydrate so i stocked up.

Anybody who can't do a 24-48 hour fast needs to work on it. It's actually not easy if you're used to the American 24/7 access to (bad) food, but it's very beneficial, even if you just do a 16 hour fast multiple times a week. As long as you get fluids w/ a few calories you can survive almost indefinitely. It puts your body into repair mode and besides losing pounds it strengthens your immune system and reduces cell/chromosomal damage.

Lately I have been not eating after 8pm or before noon, so 16 hours every day without food. It's kind of fun in a way. Lunch definitely tastes great ("hunger is the best sauce") and I feel a bit sharper and more energetic.
