Holy Crap: NY Times Just Fucked Biden!

Um, no. Read between the lines here. The Dems still want to use "me-too" to go after Repubs, such as casting a net to find a Blassey-Ford to stop any Trump nomination they do not like politically. But this spear is blunted if they are too blatant about shielding their own candidate from a "me-too" event. Therefore, they take a half hearted stab at this incident with Joe. Notice, they prominently display a pic of Tara Reade at her aged worst, which kills her credibility by making the reader think "who would want to molest that!" If this was a Repub, they would have included the most glamorous photo they could find of the woman in her prime.

Absolutely, it was just a weapon to keep Kavanaugh off the bench. The left uses groups to achieve their agenda - blacks, Spanish Indians, fading beauties angry at their lack of desirability, etc. - but they are only used by the left to achieve and maintain power, that is all. There is no legitimate belief in these positions, just how to use issues to get power, and then into the dustbin these groups go once done.

Yeah, Nerdwallet shows a national average of 3.2% for a 30 year fixed rate mortgage. I was fortunate to get a 3% rate for my mortgage back in July 2016. I can't see the mortgage rates getting any lower than that for banks to be motivated to lending money, unless we get negative interest rates such as for the 10 Year Treasury Note like Germany has.

Someone is advertising on the the radio, in my area, that they can do absolutely zero cost refis for 2.85% fixed.

The Left and their Media Propagandists said that the Tea Party Movement was fake, too.

It was fake. It was just used by the Republicans to stop Obama from running up the deficit, putting more people to work, and getting credit for it.

When Trump lowered taxes, increased spending, increased the deficit, and put more people to work; there were no Tea Party voices against it.

So, yes, the Tea Party was faked.

God, you don't even read what I write. Fuck it, I'm just going to allow you to wallow in your crazy rather than make any more attempts to fix it. I'm talking to a wall.

@richwicks I tried to tell you, bro. Being Liberal is one thing. Being a raving lunatic who never reads anything people post in response to you is another.
Hell, I’m liberal in many ways. I don’t care if the state licensed gays to marry, I think weed and certain other drugs should be legalized, I am pro-Labor, and I take the libertarian side of any government restriction: if it’s not hurting anyone else why ban it?

Political leaning is one thing. Brainwashed idiocy is another.

This goddamn “open up” protest is just MORE BULLSHIT to help Trump win.

The implication is the shut down is an effort to make Trump look bad and get (Biden?) a democrat in.

43% of America’s 30,000,000 small businesses will likely close during this crisis and never reopen. That’s 13 MILLION businesses which employed tens of millions of people, perhaps as many as the 30 million jobs that were lost in the las six weeks.
That will make for an incredible long term unemployment rate which will rapidly turn into a Great Depression2.

We are ON TRACK with this horrifying outcome, and it will happen unless radical measures are passed to give banks a haircut on mortgage payments and businesses a couple free months on their rent. Suck it up, and do what’s best for the country. That’s what they told us when they locked us down. Now it’s what they need to do to fix their fuckup!

I don't see the point in posting anywhere without at least considering you might be wrong but I'll give you something to be cautious about:

Never consider somebody you disagree with "stupid", "insane", "dumb", or anything like that. Even somebody that has no ability to communicate with you because they are foaming at the mouth doesn't mean they are incorrect, it may be they are correct, but have been brainwashed into being correct. That DOES happen.

What does "liberal" even mean these days? I think you're probably like me - practical. I'm in Commiefornia, it's ridiculous to worry about who is sleeping with whom, it's stupid to waste time on prohibition for weed. Labor is absolutely essential, and it's really morally unfair to force American workers to compete against slave labor in China. I'm not exactly libertarian - I consider that a naive system. In "libertarianism" you can do anything except violate the rights of another person - well, whose going to stop some thug from violating the rights of another person? Not the government. It's a nice ideal, but it's a fantasy just like communism is.

Right or wrong, I think most people are brainwashed to some extent. Me included. You have to know you're in a cage before you can break out of it.

I'm currently renting (in CA) but plan to buy soon (hopefully). Anyway, I'm still working and my rent is still paid on time. Even if the government told me I didn't have to pay rent I still would. I don't live my life to fuck other people over.

Thank you as the 43% statistic came from media like https://www.marketwatch.com/story/43-of-small-businesses-say-theyll-be-forced-to-close-permanently-if-they-dont-get-help-soon-survey-says-2020-04-03

I suspect that about 30% of small businesses were already in bad financial condition just before the coronavirus pandemic and would have failed within the next 6 to 18 months. The virus just shortened the financial failure or misery of these small businesses from 12 months to 2 to 3 of months.

However, coronavirus pandemic also has dragged down small businesses that were in fair financial condition also. I would estimate that applies to about 20% of small businesses. They likely will survive this with major difficulty.

The remainder 50% of small businesses were in good financial shape before the coronavirus pandemic and they should survive this without major difficulty.

People who feel their own status under threat by a duly elected president who did not attend an Ivy League school explains a lot.

Not only was Trump elected against the wishes of the elite and elitists, he has been doing an excellent job with the economy (until the Wuhan virus) and in keeping us out of new wars.

This makes the whole public aware that credentialism is a sham. And lots of people have dedicated decades of their lives to getting elitist credentials. That must be painful.

Could you state some specific Trump policies you disagree with?
Trump's staff is doing persistent damage quietly behind his circus, eliminating anything the government is involved with that brings benefit to the electorate. That much is huge and devastating in and of itself, the GOP neoliberal/libertarian agenda implementation that would surely bring about an uprising if it were widely known.

However

It's insane. We have on average maybe 20-30 new confirmed cases per day in SF while ICU/hospitalization has been flat for weeks. At this rate the recovered will soon outnumber the active infections. So while people look at totals, a total of 1600 infections in SF probably means less than 1000 active in a county of 1 Million. There's no reason not to open up and yes, people will keep getting infected. but it's better to acquire herd immunity in the summer (with overall less viral load) than during the next winter flu season. It's currently warm and sunny, Newsom would be an imbecile not to open up now.
