Let them weaken each other while liberals build a new political party either by reforming the DNC or breaking with the Democrats and destroying that party. The latter scenario is much harder, but it could happen. The new party would have to take over most Democratic seats in Congress first while letting the Republicans have the White House for years. Once the new party has the former Democratic seats, it could take the White House and the most of the remaining seats from the Republicans. Again, taking over the Democratic Party would be easier, but if that fails, we have a fallback plan.
