That's odd because I've been to tropical countries where the temp is usually 95+ with tons of humidity and although it's not comfortable for a white boy like me, I saw the locals doing just fine. The older people were even wearing sweaters! I am just not buying this story. I did see that some desert portions of India got to 130F last summer and killed livestock and people. That seems quite likely at those temps! But 95F killing mass people? Nah.

It works because Asian women don't get Smile lines until they are in their 70's.
The only scam here is convincing Asian women they need it in the first place.

Most heatstroke in this country occurs in cities. Seems replacing trees and grass with skyscrapers and asphalt does not a cooler earth create. Yet GW alarmists never mention this.

I guess real problems that affect people, right now, aren't really their bag...

We rarely ever get high humidity in Los Angeles.... Dry desert heat I can handle... Especially while floating in my now overflowing backyard pool due to all this rain this past winter!

Charts based on fake data to support lies that have already been thoroughly debunked.

Some dishonest people go way out of their way to persuade the public of lies. These people should not be respected. The have evil, despicable intentions, and they don't care who gets hurt, who dies, and who becomes homeless as a result of their greedy, short-sighted political agendas.

Climate change is real. It's man-made. It's dangerous. It kills. It destroys trillions of dollars of real estate. And it's fucking bad for the economy, too. Short-sighted greed is not a good economic strategy.

So do you have a chart that shows the "REAL" temp history?

Yes, but you don't care. Facts contradict your lies and so they don't matter to you. I can present the evidence to you, but no matter what it is, you will reject it because it demonstrates you are lying.

Nonetheless, for other people, I will present the real evidence.

And, of course, this is due largely, but not entirely, to CO2 pollution from burning fossil fuels.

This is real evidence from credible sources, and that evidence is independently confirmed by scientists around the world. Yet, this will not at all persuade you because you don't care about the truth. You are perfectly OK with lying to get to screw over other people for your own selfish interests. This makes you a bad person that no one should respect or listen to.

Science works. Politics and religion does not. You don't get to accuse those using scientific evidence as being "religious". That's you and you're a hypocrite.

I am surprised there is that much profit taking on something that pays 8% - not easy to come by that dividend these days

Those are just a few days we had 95 degree days with 100% humidity..

But not at the same time. The highest relative humidity is usually first thing in the morning when the air is the coolest and it drops as the air temperature increases, so the humidity might have been near 100% earlier in the day but was most likely much lower once the temperature reached 95 degrees.

Do you have a temp graph to back up your talk?

You know I do. You marked the evidence as an ad hominem in order to suppress it. Guess what? That's not going to work.

Also, @Patrick, time to remove Hater's ability to mark as ad hom.

Hardly. I censor no evidence, false or true. If it's true evidence, I accept it. If it's false evidence, I expose it for the lie it is. It's trivially ease to do that.

Sounds like ad hom to me.

Which is why no one should listen to you.

A judgement based on verifiable evidence is not an ad hominem attack. Calling out a person on lying is not an ad hominem attack. Pointing out the hypocrisy of a person is not an ad hominem attack.

An ad hominem attack is a baseless personal attack used in lieu of refuting the person's argument. I refuted and destroyed your argument, demonstrated that your evidence was false, and presented multiple lines of evidence from independent reputable sources that reveals beyond any doubt that your claims are all lies. That's not an ad hominem attack. That's the exact opposite of an ad hominem attack.

It is perfectly valid to question the sincerity of an opponent who repeatedly demonstrates dishonesty and insincerity, especially when the evidence of malfeasance is so clear. Intent matters.

81666   Dan8267   2017 Mar 10, 1:44pm

Hater says

So what are the problems with these charts?

They are blatant lies, not mistakes, but actual lies that have been thoroughly debunked.

David Lappi was a fossil fuel advocate and climate change denier because he founded a company,, LAPP Resources Inc., whose entire profit model was based on fossil fuels. You cherry picked his false data graph because it supported what you wanted. You didn't even know that Lappi was completely debunked as a pathological liar by every reputable scientist, both climate change scientists and other scientists. And Lappi was no climate change scientist. He was a geologist, and he went into the field to make money off fossil fuels, not to do actual science.

The same can be said about the charlatans Cliff Harris and Randy Mann. Even a cursory Google search demonstrates that they and the chart you posted have been thoroughly debunked. Are you now, having been made aware of this, willing to refute your position and admit that man-made climate change is rapid, uncontrolled, and dangerous? Unless the answer is a resounding yes, you are not at all sincere in this debate.

I present peer-reviewed evidence from Scientific experts with long and distinguished reputations like NASA, NOAA, and Scripps. You present the self-published fraudulent claims of a couple of crackpots with perverted financial interests who couldn't get published in any newspaper or scientific journal. That should have been your first clue that you are on indefensible ground.

Actual temps Fahrenheit or celsius that show the world has never been warmer.

Of course the world has been warmer in the past. For example, when the dinosaurs were around. Only an idiot thinks that means there are no consequences to present day warming such as mass death and economic loss.

Literally hundreds of millions of lives will be threatened with malaria as the Earth warms because entire cities are built just above the mosquito line. That's the line in altitude above which mosquitoes, the carriers of malaria cannot live. That line moves upwards with rising temperature exposing hundreds of millions to the fatal disease. That alone makes climate change are far greater killer than all criminals and all terrorists in all of human history combined. It also makes climate change denial one of the greatest immoral acts you can commit today.

And that's just one consequence of uncontrolled climate change. Other consequences include floods, droughts, famines, trillions of dollars of lost real estate, an hundreds of trillions of dollars of lost economic activity over the next century. Only a fool thinks uncontrolled climate change has no negative consequences.

So as a "denier" should i be burned at the stake or just ridiculed until I come to my senses and drink the kool aid?

You should be treated as the village idiot you play. Your opinion should be ridiculed. And you should not have a seat at the table were policy is discussed.

One doesn't let a Holocaust denier write policy towards Israel. One doesn't let a climate change denier influence environmental policies.

Actual temps not anomalies.

Honey, your graph doesn't show actual temperatures. It's all phony data. Are you still going to defend it? Show me one reputable scientific publication that has published the graph you referenced. You can't because it's bullshit.

Meanwhile, every scientific organization, and there are hundreds of them around the world, has contradicted everything you said and officially state that man-made climate change is real and dangerous. Even the Pentagon has stated unequivocally that climate change greatly threatens national security and increases terrorism.

inflation is driven by wage inflation which has been kept low by artificial means: huge immigration, globalism, outsourcing, offshoring, and H1B programs. These are INTENTIONAL disruptive actions taken to depress wage gains and ensure that inflation will remain pitiful.

Thanks, I had not considered that globalisation keeps inflation down.

From your post, I'd surmise that you haven't had to worry about it. You've just been taking advantage of the situation to make some money. Good on you! At least you have the right idea for the right time. However, things be a changing now, which is what this post be all about. I'm not bearish on housing or anything. If anything, I'm for ownership at this point, given that inflation is bound to increase under the new Trump management. However, don't expect huge gains in short time windows. You'll need to be in it for the long term to realize the appreciation in Real Estate.
However, stocks are looking damn good to me at the moment for an investment vehicle! Inflation generally drives stocks upward, both as a product of the money inflating value and the economy inflating in-step.

81680   indigenous   2017 Mar 11, 9:28pm

I basically agree. The US exports inflation.

By definition inflation is an increase in the money supply combined with an increase in demand. That said the trend if for low inflation, see the chart.

The population in China, Japan, Europe, Russia is getting older.

I think Logan has it right in that demographics are the greatest predictor of the economy. The countries that are going to have a growing economy are India, Nigeria and the US, IIRC.

The economy had one hell of an adjustment starting in 2007. The Climb since has been organic despite the low interest rates, IOW there probably aren't any bubbles. I even think that rates are organic because of the age of the US and the world.

I disagree with the Austrians on the importance of the Fed, because the dollar is the reserve currency of the world and because the dollar is strong, ergo the US exports inflation.

I've never questioned the job numbers, only the quality of those jobs being added. And we called ou the unemployment numbers which were bullshit.
Trump isn't saying he's got unemployment down yet, but he is adding Big Pants sized jobs back into the ecconomy.

He's not creating part time apron jobs.

81682   Tenpoundbass   2017 Mar 12, 9:12am

Trump didn't question whether 80,000 McDonald part time min wage jobs were created in just one month in 2010.
We are questioning why did Obama's administration pick McDonald's to give billions of dollars to more than double in one year. Especially during a time when his wife was bitching about what we eat, and the number one movie in the box office was "Super Size Me.".

You guys did a lot of funny talking the last 8 years and we Trump voters heard you loud and clear!

So, inflation is heading up!

Interest rates are heading up!

Housing prices should be flat, or decline slightly, except for the fact that population continues to grow with very little building activity, keeping the pressure on for housing markets. In addition, more people will have jobs making more and more money as time goes on.

Republicans have come up with a new plan. All sick people will work off their sickness by picking strawberries. This will end the need for illegal immigrants and the fresh air and unpaid work will either cure the sick or make them drop dead, in which case they will be used as fertilizer to increase crop yield. It's a win-win.
