When she was a kid, my mom and her friends would put their hands over a chicken's eyes to put it to sleep. Then they'd put it in a tire and roll it down a hill. Makes me sad we didn't have chickens when I was a kid. ;-)

Also, a $.50 hot wing is such a ridiculous rip-off that anyone who buys it deserves what they get. Double for hot wings from a pizza joint! I read an article a while back that said the prices for chicken wings had skyrocketed because of America's wing obsession. Wings were invented to use the cheapest, crappiest part of the bird (much like BBQ for beef and pork). Now you can buy better quality chicken and make your own, much meatier "hot wings". I recommend boneless chicken breasts or thigh chunks, grilled and then tossed in the sauce. My buddy has an astounding secret recipe for honey wasabi wings that would blow your mind.

There as a news release earlier this week that wing demand is creating higher prices on Chicken wings.
In most stores they are more a pound than Chicken breast.
