Peewee on Broadway? In the audience (with a jacket to cover his, um, excitement at being there), or ???
Good question, Elliemae.
I'm sure he'll get plenty of exposure.
A shame Captain Carl was killed.
My favorite joke that came out of the PeeWee era concerned Bobby Berosini - a guy in Vegas with an animal act who was caught on camera beating a monkey into submission before a performance:
Q: What do PeeWee & Bobby have in common?
A: They both got caught spanking their monkey in public!
(Bobby was cleared on animal abuse charges, but lost his career soon after.)
I do wonder if peewee can have another comeback. Seriously - a broadway show?
No, not my penis, you silly goose. Paul Reubens:
NEW YORK - Pee-Wee is Broadway bound.
"The Pee-Wee Herman Show" will have a 48-performance run at the Stephen Sondheim
Theatre starting Oct. 26.
It is based in part on the cult TV show "Pee-Wee's Playhouse" and will star
Pee-Wee himself, Paul Reubens.
Producer Scott Sanders said Thursday that it will follow "a day in the life of
our bow-tied hero."
Other cast members will be announced later.
