At the end of the day, it appears that our friend Michael Moore is pretty darned concerned about money as well.
It is precisely because of concern for the money of the poor and the middle class that Michael Moore made all those films. Rather than attack the points made by Moore's films, you resorted to attacking Moore's personal life. This indicates that you have no convincing arguments against Moore's films themselves.
Moore's films always demonstrate a grave and obvious injustice caused by certain people in corporations taking advantage of and exploiting millions of others. Moore never said that no person should be rich or that all rich people are evil. Moore points out specific industries that are dominated by a few people making massive amounts of money, not by creating wealth, but by shaking down those with less power. And this is exactly what you don't like about his films. They are true.
For all the bullshit conservatives shout about the free market, you conservatives oppose any kind of market that is even remotely free. In a truly free market, by definition, no corporation or collaboration of corporations are able to dominate the market and impose their will. But what conservatives want is a market utterly dominated by their corporations.
This indicates that you have no convincing arguments against Moore's films themselves.
You mean like him making a movie where pretty much everything is taken out of context? Do I have to state that every time I post something about Micheal Moore, when everybody already knows that he did this?
Michael Moore should have a sex change operation. He has real potential as an immense hirsute lesbian.
You mean like him making a movie where pretty much everything is taken out of
context?
Ohhhh, so you HAVE seen his lying films.
Ohhhh, so you HAVE seen his lying films.
I prefer the depiction of MM in Team America: World Police

Are you suggesting a new film, perhaps "Hilary and Me" ?
Or "Bowling with Dworkin".

If you are going to attack Michael Moore's films, then yes, you have to be specific. Simply asserting that all his movies are "pretty much taken out of context" is worthless.
Let me show you how it's done.
In Moore's film Sicko, Cuba's medical system was made out to be nearly perfect with everyone happy. ABC News reports that this assessment, although not without basis, is not accurate. The hospital Moore went to is not representative of one the typical Cuban would have access to.
See, that's a specific, supported counter-argument to one of Moore's movies. Now, it doesn't undermine the premise of the film, but at least it's a legitimate attack. In contrast, all you do is assert vague generalities and accuse Moore of lying all the time but without giving a single example or supporting that it was a lie.
So, yes, I am calling bullshit on you. Everything you conservatives say about your political opposition is a lie simply because if you were to say the truth, it would sound something like this.
I don't want poor people, especially minorities, getting any health care. I want them to die because I think their deaths would make my life better. I don't want any of my tax money going to saving other people's lives, lifting other people out of poverty, or improving other people's lives. I want it all to go to me.
I don't care if the system is inefficient and corrupt, because I think I profit from it. It's ok to exploit others, when I'm doing the exploiting or have stock in the companies' doing the exploiting. Ultimately, my selfish interests take priority over everyone else's rights, family, and well-being. The more other people suffer, the better off I am.
And that is the conservative worldview.
In contrast, we rationalists recognize that corruption and waste anywhere in the system ultimately imposes a cost on all of us, and this cost is cumulative and exponentially increasing. Solving the fundamental problems with industries such as health care ultimately improves the lives of all people even those not directly affected.
Apparently you don't understand what hypocrisy is.
Warren Buffet criticizes fiscal policies while profiting from them.
Tea baggers criticize gov spending while cashing on social security checks.
This has nothing to do with hypocrisy.
Warren Buffet criticizes fiscal policies while profiting from them.
That's not hypocrisy either, in reality. He is criticizing current policy because he wants it changed. He still lives under those rules, however, so he may as well behave accordingly.

Exactly. This is not hypocrisy.
Just because someone who is wealthy doesn't mean they can't criticize the wealthy....
Exactly. This is not hypocrisy.
Sorry--poor reading comprehension on my part.
Why do you think Obama claiming to be for construction jobs and not signing
the Keystone pipeline deal is not hypocrisy?
lol--so it's impossible for someone to be for construction jobs, but be against potentially causing an environmental disaster? That's hypocritical?
He's citing his wife's elaborate mansion she built tarnished his street cred as a 99%'er, during his OWS agitation. Never mind they own a Manhattan condo converted from 4 apartments, and have 7 other properties.
While the couple’s combined net worth has not been made public, Moore’s estimated net worth alone stands at $50 million. And hey, good for him.
But…this is a guy who has railed against wealth in America for years: “fat-cat corporations,†“one-percenters,†“rich Republicans,†on and on.
One more time: This is not hypocrisy.
If there were evidence he dodged taxes he advocated, or made an exception for himself to some rule he publicly favored, then that would be hypocrisy.
Warren Buffett advocating higher taxes on himself is not hypocrisy.
Dick Cheney having a permanent war hard-on, given his history of deferments, is not hypocrisy. Amusing/disgusting, but not hypocritical.
John Edwards (rich) advocating some policy to help the poor is not hypocrisy. It may be hard to think about, because he's personally disgusting, but it does not make him a hypocrite per se.
You don't have to be poor to attack the privileges of the wealthy. You don't have to be sick to be a doctor and attempt to cure others.
Michael Moore is an asshole in ways having little to do with hypocrisy.
As soon as there is a viable alternative. One has complete freedom to not eat at Chic-Fa-Lay. One doesn't have nearly the choice in transportation. Some gas consumption will be necessary until electric vehicles, preferably mag-lifts, are available and do not suffer from lack of infrastructure.
Anyone who calls Obama a liberal is a moron. He's as conservative as the right-wing nutters. No, being black does not make him a liberal. Liberalism has nothing to do with skin color. No one to the right of Reagan Nixon is a liberal.

You fought to get him elected twice, embrace him.
Why do you think Obama claiming to be for construction jobs and not signing the Keystone pipeline deal is not hypocrisy?
Being stupid truly is a prerequisite to being a republican.
I guess that the only thing to take in to consideration about the keystone pipeline is whether or not you are for construction jobs. Who new the question was so simple ?
It's like saying that when we got in to world war 2, the only question was whether we think war is good or not. We don't think war is good, therefore we are hypocrites to have gotten involved.
Stupid and a money grubber..
Michael is kind of onto the medical system though.
I've been going to the doctors 4 --- the last 4 years, they just keep repeating the same tests over and over.

If ever we needed solid plain-spoken reportage on a (really, not really until you get into the trading algorithms) complex subject, it was around 2007, as it is now.
I liked the story "The Giant Pool Of Money" NPR aired back in May 2008 on This American Life
http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/355/the-giant-pool-of-money
Well if he makes up a movie about the evil faux feminists who have enslaved men in the name of women's rights-then all is forgiven. Feminism has evolved from demand for equality to demanding to be paid money just because you are a woman.
Though I heard Halle berry has been ordered to pay 16k a month in child support and 300k in attorney fees to her baby daddy. That is the only hope for responsible men-be less successful and hope enough women get snared in the hell they created for men.
Define "donation to charity."
Money for lobbying is perversely defined in USA as charity. This is to ensure oligarch's uninterrupted control of the nation.
This is a stupid excuse. Charity is not compulsion. You are free to donate to WHICHEVER charity you like.
And, with all that money, you could open a charity care for the uninsured.

So if owning slaves was legal, and you thought it were wrong, you'd still own a slave, because, that's what the law allows?

Nope. But that's not really a good analogy. Paying taxes is not quite the same as owning another human being.
That looks like a pair of hirsute lesbians!!

You have yet to point out a single "spot" on Michael Moore.
And you most certainly have not refuted the thesis of any of his movies.
She got tired of seeing his beady, psychotic eyes peering over her venus mound while he snarfed.
She got even fatter hoping he wouldn't be visible any more, but it didn't work.
Time to let go and claim her 25 million for duty above and beyond.
Why should I have to?
You already did.
You have yet to point out a single "spot" on Michael Moore.
Go to the zoo.
Watch a pair of hippos' pork.
That should answer what you are thinking....

Poor guy, all that comes to mind with this one is:
Fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life son!
I hope she takes him to the cleaners and takes every penny he has.
That way he would know what it's like to not be so rich you live in a Liberal fantasy world where Canada has never seen one single gun shot fired in Anger and we can tax our way out poverty, while ignoring meaningful employment numbers. Being an idealist who believes bullshit of that caliber is a Rich man's game.
He'll be voting for Tea party candidate in the 2016 Presidential election.

Right, she ended up watching equine bestiality porn while he snarfed and insulted him when she fell asleep all the time
He probably believes that loud, fat person snoring and belching is an orgasmic response.
He wouldn't stop until he heard the snoring and then gave himself a gold star.
I'm looking forward to Michael Moore making a movie on the nature of marriage, divorce and family courts in the US. That should be a treat, and maybe an eye-opener for progressives who unfortunately often are quite blind to injustices against men.
Moore is an excellent film-maker and a voice of working people, and I do not envy him his $50 million or whatever.

http://www.ijreview.com/2014/06/145100-multimillionaire-activist-michael-moore-cat-fight-wife-divorce-settlement/
Multimillionaire director Michael Moore, who regularly rails against the rich, is in a nasty battle with his estranged wife over their pending divorce settlement. One of his claims: “She†spent millions on “her†lakefront mansion.
In court filings, Moore claims his wife “unilaterally wasted a large percentage of the marital fundsâ€:
The liberal activist director and his wife, Kathleen Glynn, are scheduled for trial next month in a Michigan courtroom not far from the sprawling lakefront mansion that the Hollywood power contends became a money pit that cost five times what his wife claimed she would spend on the home.
Moore and Glynn jointly own “multiple substantial residences and multiple companies,†including Dog Eat Dog Films, the production company behind hit movies like “Roger &Me†and “Bowling for Columbine.â€
The couple’s real estate holdings include a total of nine properties in Michigan and New York. The duo co-owns a Manhattan condo that was created through the combination of three separate units.
While the couple’s combined net worth has not been made public, Moore’s estimated net worth alone stands at $50 million. And hey, good for him.
