Just because it's a comedy show doesn't mean any of the things in the above video aren't true. What The Daily Show claimed is true and verifiable. The Daily Show cites real evidence unlike any conservative medial including Fox News and Breitbart. What Fox News says is an outright lie and verifiable true. Tell me exactly how Fox News is right on this story and The Daily Show is wrong. Go on, grow a pair and show that. You can't.

This is exactly why people who watch only The Daily Show score highest on domestic and international knowledge whereas those who watch only Fox News score lowest, even lower than those who watch absolutely no news. That is the bottom line.

He found a video titled "The Degeneration of the Daily Show" and immediately thought it would prove his point and posted it without even watching the video -- yes, it's obvious that this is what has just happened. However, the video is completely mistitled because the actual content of the video, although it uses tiny fractions of a segment, does not address any arguments against The Daily Show itself. The only thing that it argues is
1. Women's soccer produces less money than men's soccer. (true)
2. Soccer is a business and profits are what matters. (true)
3. The women being interviewed lied about the revenue statistic they cited. (false)
4. The statistic is misleading because it was not representative of normal profit because women had a World Cup game that year. (partially true, partially false. The statistic does not support that women's soccer is more profitable than men's soccer, but it does support their point that sometimes women's soccer produces a profit in a year that men's soccer produces a loss. In business, this is called hedging you bets and it's an important financial strategy. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.)

There is nothing in this video that makes The Daily Show look bad or dishonest even if you disagree with the opinion -- and the key word is opinion -- that women's soccer is important. You can disagree with opinions. You cannot disagree with facts. Fox News tries to disagree with facts. Also, there is nothing hypocritical about The Daily Show in this segment unlike Fox News who's hypocrisy is legendary.
