14   HEY YOU   2014 Jan 10, 3:39pm

Took the test several times, can't decide which score I like.

15   drew_eckhardt   2014 Jan 10, 3:43pm

I only scored 48% but feel confident I can overcome my innate limitations, crush competitors, and drive shareholder value.

Though your conscience is in the right place you also have a pragmatic streak and generally aren’t afraid to do your own dirty work! You’re no shrinking violet - but no daredevil either. You generally have little trouble seeing things from another person’s perspective but, at the same time, are no pushover. ‘Everything in moderation – including moderation’ might sum up your approach to life.

16   marcus   2014 Jan 10, 3:49pm

My score is fairly low. Although I'm not completely sure of all of my answers. That is, what I'd like to think of myself versus the truth. It's hard to know. Do I just think I would never cheat on a spouse or girlfriend ? I did once long ago, sort of.

How willing am I to step over others for my advancement ? I don't think I am, but am I sure ? What about subtle forms of this, that are the natural consequence of competition in the workplace ? I just don't know for sure.

I guess I know I'm not a psychopath, but I think some of those questions are so tough that the real score versus the one that comes from my answers could be off by at least 15 points.

17   justme   2014 Jan 10, 3:54pm

Not to anyone in particular:

A real psychopath would know whether to reveal a low or a high score, all depending on the audience.

18   justme   2014 Jan 10, 3:55pm

No no, this is not the bipolar test.

19   Ceffer   2014 Jan 10, 4:12pm

The tester said I wasn't technically a psychopath, but that my mind sucked anyway.

I think the tester is another pseudonym for Roberto.

One and the same. Bonuses come from the misery of others.

So, not a psycho -- just a (sort of) scumbag.

I tested 15% -- I'm an out-n-out mamby pamby motherfucker.

Surprised nobody is calling out the UK angle from this one. The only options for news sources were "Financial Times", "The Guardian", and "HELLO" magazine. Brits have such a janky sense of humour! They purposely left out Fox News, Russian Times, and The Rachel Maddow Comedy Hour (*my* preferred educational sources).

Apparently, I'm no psychopath, just a winey asshole.

Sorry friend but Jon Lord and Richie Blackmore awesome as they were cannot compare to the genius of Bruce Dickinson!

Neither featured the great Bobby Caldwell on drums, though Captain Beyond's first LP did feature Rod Evans, from Deep Purple.

Armageddon kills them all.

Unfortunately, I bet this is true. Why is it easier to take advantage of good and supposedly sane people? That could be part of the problem with our world. Maybe we should set up cultures and laws that make it harder to take advantage of well-meaning individuals? Maybe we should stop validating and rewarding psychopath behavior? Maybe we should all pretend that there is only one world to rape and destroy and only one human race to keep healthy and happy? Is it really survival of the fittest, or survival of the most defective and mutated? I think the mentally sick and destructive are the survivors in our modern culture. I would certainly be more "successful" if I had screwed people over and did some good old fashion stealing, or even better enslaving. I guess there is only power and those to weak to seek it. I am kind and therefore weak, so me and my offspring certainly deserve to die or be enslaved.

I guess I could go either way. It's no surprise to me as I've actively studied sociopaths for several years. It's a spectrum thing, so the test does well in revealing tendencies rather than absolutes. Of course, if someone were to score very high they'd know why they felt different than everyone else. And they'd also never reveal this. True sociopaths understand how to hide, sheep's clothing is just the beginning.

Here's a new thought for this thread. Since sociopaths have innate abilities that make them more competitive for resources and mates (usually), and drug/alcohol use can dull the conscience of a normal empathic person, is this the reason why some are driven to substance abuse? Are we driven to suppress the conscience or superego that is holding us back from making the decisions we feel would take us where we want to go?

Ha! Are you projecting?

I doubt if I'm that slick or diabolical, even subconsciously. I tried to answer quickly but dithered on one of the questions -- I think it was the one about trading up if someone better came along. That's just fucked to me, but I have done it before. I actually wanted a higher score than what I got. I don't consider myself a lamb by any measure.

I'm a nice fucking guy, Marcus. Goddamn you all over the place for suggesting anything otherwise!

Do you really think that Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Eddie Amin, Abraham Lincoln, Richard Nixon, Woodrow Wilson, Napolean, etc, etc give a rats fuck consequently requiring relief, Absolutely not, the best therapy for these guys is a bullet or two or three in the skull.

The Realtor psychopath test by hiring agencies has a single question:

Are you, or are you not, a raging, baby murdering, slimy, lying, stealing, conniving, worthless sack of shit in white shoes and a flannel suit (dress) driving a stolen Mercedes?

Realtor Answer: No, trust me!

You're hired!
