Call it Crazy says

The exchange's now-fired contractor, Noridian Healthcare Solutions, had been paid nearly $65 million by Maryland, and had billed the state for $13 million more.

Got paid 78 million and no longer have to answer the phone when it rings?
That's not getting fired that's getting a promotion.

Truth is difficult to find amid the blizzard of corporate PR and government propaganda surrounding this legislation.

Gallup released a survey today finding the uninsured rate is the same 16% as it was when President Obama took office in 2009. But, since even more people were uninsured last year, the headlines all say, "The percentage of Americans without health insurance continues to fall...." There was a time when people would say that 16% is the same as 16%, but now it's counted as a drop compared to the intervening 18% last year. Meanwhile, provider prices have continued to increase with "no lifetime caps" (Thanks, Obamacare!), so the uninsured are facing higher prices than ever.

Labor union group Unite Here released a report:
ObamaCare: Making Inequality Worse
...threatens the middle class with higher premiums, loss of hours, and a shift to part-time work and less comprehensive coverage.
Transferring A Trillion Dollars in Wealth....
Strangling Fair Competition....
Moving to Part Time Work....
Cutting People’s Pay....

Their objections include the tax on "Cadillac" plans, which is actually one of the smarter provisions in the legislation.

3   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 11, 12:56am

My Daughter got a job at Win Dixie(Oh my god, I can't belive I'm actually typing this, this would have been depressing for a parent 8 years ago) last week she got her "Benefits" package.
Now get this she's part time, she had the options, none of which paid dick all. Like $1000 a day for a hospital. Sure it was only $35 a week, and even had a disclaimer on the back, "This plan does not meet Obamacare requirements" (something to that effect).

So basically, those people who's plans were great for them, but lost the insurance because it did not meet the requirements, can have it back but the insurance companies didn't give it back. But when Obama then extended those plans, new plans for new employees are being placed on those total rip off plans, that are pure junk and not worth the glossy presentation paper stock they are written on.

Every thing Obama says and does, just allows his cronies to further game his system.

What a bunch of horseshit. Those plans were ALWAYS junk; that's why they don't qualify. You right-wing fucks cried and cried to "get your plan back". Then you did, and you bitch about THAT. There's no pleasing some people.

So Change for you Liberal dimbulbs is the Same as it ever was?

That's your big gun retort, "Well they were all always Crap!"

Perhaps you didn't grasp the gravity of just what I said.

The ACA was passed and it was decreed that ALL new health plans MUST meet a minimum requirement. This was especially important for the low income workers in this country. The result of Obamacare has seen, hours being cut back and the majority of ALL new hires are part time minimum wage jobs.
Understand what I said there, that's very important, so I want you to hang on to what "New Hires" means.

So Obamacare rolls out, and existing Employees who had good healthcare coverage or adequate enough for them, that they made a stink about Obama's great lie when THEY lost their coverage. So Obama then says, WELL OK employers must give BACK those plans to those "EXISTING" employees who "HAD" insurance "BEFORE" the ACA went into effect.

Now back to "where was I"... So after well after "OCTOBER 1st." when ACA went into effect, my daughter got a job at Winn Dixie in February of this year. And this plan that was offered to her, a Wallmart wellness Coupon booklet covers more, also for the Plan that She has to help pay $35 a week out of a $125.00 pay check.

Don't try to diminish the facts by playing Stupid, I'll just beat the shit out of Obamacare even more with the Irony that you leave on the table.

if you are on medicare, half the time you are fucked.
Most of the doctors that medicare advertises do not take it anymore.
Try getting your jaw TMJ fixed by one of the doctors referred to by medicare.

Just expand medicare and allow people to buy the coverage. Problem solved. This is the single pay solution and we know it already works.

It doesn't work.... Medicare is broke... Now you want to add another 250 million people to the program... Good luck...

It works on the expense side of things. Medicare shops competitively for services and is far more streamlined than private insurance plans.

12   Y   2014 Mar 26, 2:35am

and they continue to pay after retirement, with all the additional plan suppliments needed to not get charged out the ass for everything under the sun that will go wrong with you....

Call it Crazy says

jojo says

Adding paying customers would go a long way toward fixing this.

People on Medicare "paid" for their coverage for over 45 years before they started receiving them. Plus their employers paid half of the tax.

So after paying in for 45 years, shouldn't the program be self-sustaining if it was managed correctly??

13   Y   2014 Mar 26, 2:36am

Yeah...they refer you to doctors that tell you to fuck off.....

Finally, some criticism of this abomination. 'Bout fuckin' time!

I haven't read it yet, but I think it's safe to say this is the "I hate Obama and here's 'The affordable healthcare act (propaganda) thread.'

Couldn't you just post the URL to Fox news on a daily basis ?

We know where to find all the "I hate Obama, and I lack all critical thinking skills" bs on the internet.

CaptainSU is the poster boy for emotionally based fact free analysis.

18   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 26, 3:46am

What's to read, what do you think about the chart above, that are only facts about the premiums for a family of 4 under the "AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE ACT", broken down by the pentaly.

The 14K a year, is a "Slightly used" Ferrari payment by the way.

THe penalty is capped at levels that go with a 6 figure income.

Low income people will be paying a penalty of a couple grand. It's a tax, to help subsidize the lower income people that are insuring themselves.

It's unnecessarily complicated but it;s moving toward govt healthcare.

20   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 26, 4:53am

Well GEE you two, what in the hell do you want from ME?

Everything is Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine.

Even though the "Third" house of the Government has already repealed Obamacare, based on the cost factor alone.

And to cite what the crooked sons of bitches did with the premiums while Nancy Pelosi adjusted her Healthcare stock holdings, during the last 5 years, SINCE Obamacare has been passed, as some proof as to why we even needed those CRAZY Motherfukers to MEDDLE with healthcare and make a big munged Fucking mess, is really going to play out rather quickly.

You wont get asses at the voting booths, by telling people that THEIR math is wrong.

What a load, you Crackers are crazy.

21   curious2   2014 Mar 26, 5:08am

jojo says

Older people use about 6 time the cost of health care than younger people . But the plans are set up so the highest and lowest cost can only be 3 or 4 times. Older people pay less. Younger people subsidize it.

@jojo, you seem to focus on inter-generational warfare, but correlation is not causation. Within ages 20-70, age by itself causes little if any need for medical spending; the issue is cumulative injury, not age per se, and much stronger predictors of medical requirements include smoking, diet (including alcohol and obesity), and exercise. More importantly, American medical spending is several times higher than can be justified based on what is actually helpful and necessary at global prices. The toxic SSRI placebos, for example, and unnecessary ADHD drugs, make gullibility a much higher risk factor than age. So, older people in America do not "pay less," they overpay, especially if they are careful in avoiding smoking and eating a healthy diet and getting exercise. Younger people overpay even more, but they are subsidizing an overpriced and injurious industry, not an age group. If I could suggest any area for you to read more about, it would be "divide and rule".

22   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 26, 5:11am

I'm going to laugh when your Medicare benefits start to get 'adjusted'. 10,000 boomers per day will retire for the next 20 years. Good luck with that....

I'm failing to see what one has to do with the other.
Surely you aren't such a Magnificent Bullshitter that you are reckoning to me, that by the wild wild west screw job that ACA has created out of the healthcare industry to point of it being a monetized Joke. It would be very fucking funny if so many people weren't getting so disgustingly rich.

Is somehow eventually going to benefit the FedMeds?

Eventually ACA will be repealed, and our Medical benefits will be reconsidered, WHEN and only when, profit motives are far removed from the equation.

This crooked batch of Liberals have quite masterfully proved that they can be just as corrupt, and legislate by greed, just as much as the most evil Koch brother twin.

This is another reason why it is important, that Atheiest be brought in to check, one side of their ass talking about being an anti bully, the other side they are oppressing religions, and ONLY religions that are on the wrong side of them politically.

And faithbased, and especially Faith based charity healthcare is the biggest number one threat to Liberals getting everyone on board with accepting that they are their Social savior, and only they can offer eternal salvation, but only if you swear to be a popper. They don't have to make good for to long, there is this social conditioning to Hate, Loathe, Despise, and treat Senior citizens as a fucking pariah. ANd you want ME to trust what you Liberal bastards, have to offer for MY old age??????

Fuck off and eatshit, and die, I'll take my chances thank you VERY MUCH!

23   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 26, 5:18am

I bet you still have snot bubbles, when you cry.
How old are you?

Faith based Hospitals was how people managed to live past the Dark ages to 2008 with out insurance.

24   curious2   2014 Mar 26, 5:36am

jojo says

One percent of the population accounts for 30 percent of the nation's health care expenditures. Nearly half of those people are elderly.

Medicare, the health insurance program for the elderly, spends nearly 30 percent of its budget on beneficiaries in their final year of life. Slightly more than half of Medicare dollars are spent on patients who die within two months.

In other words, most of the $$$ goes to the providers of products and "services" that made people die more slowly, with probably more suffering. The patients aren't the beneficiaries. We didn't spend the money on the patients, except in the way that the prison-industrial complex spends money on prisoners. In any event, the Medicare population are exempt from Obamneycare, so Medicare truth would be a different (though related) thread.

There is no way around that as far as I know.

Ah. There is your problem. No sense of history.

The first five Presidents of the United States lived a median 82 years. They had no access to modern medicine, it didn't exist. Medicare, Obamneycare, were all in the future. What little medicine they did have, they would probably have been better off without.

Medical spending has increased massively since then. A fraction of it confers a benefit on the patient. Most of it benefits only the revenue recipients, who wrote the legislation that you complain of. You're blaming in the wrong villain. In fact, you're blaming the victims.

28   curious2   2014 Mar 26, 6:19am

Actually, I'm saying you should stop falling for divide and misrule nonsense claiming that boomers are paying "less" when in fact they're paying more than they should. The fact that you are probably overpaying, even more than they are, is not a windfall to them.

You've got the long-term memory of an amoeba. You remember some fantasy health-care plan that existed in the Archie Bunker-esque utopian past. It was perfect in every way, and cost only pennies a day. Too bad that never existed. Shit, you PERSONALLY were right here on this forum bitching about how much health insurance cost. In fact, you didn't even HAVE health insurance because you said it was too expensive. But now fast-forward to the present, and all of a sudden you believe that everything was great and that bastard Obama took it away from you. No, Dingus - those cheap plans were ALWAYS shit, and they still are. So next time be careful what you wish for.

34   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 26, 1:57pm

No I didn't have it because I didn't need it. It was $35 a month and a guarantee that it will never increase. That was in 94 before Bubba came along and his Lawyer bitch fucked the billing up and obfuscated the burden of proof for the healthcare industry. Now it's to the point a hospital can SAY you owe and you can be sued. IF you're brought to court the Judge will over rule when you ask for some paper work(True Story).

But I don't want to get ahead of my self. It was $35 a month for health insurance, I could bounce quarters off my chest back then. Also I was nobodies fool even back then. I'd be willing to be my next two years of income, that there isn't one son of a bitch from that campaign who is still paying $35 a month. Well unless they are Liberally destitute. I would even doubt that insurance company would still be around today. It was probably merged with a Web MD and all of those plans were kicked out effective imediately. Because that's how we roll now as a country, previous commitments don't mean jack shit, to you people, you don't expect the government to honor their word much less the health companies.

Hey Listen, enjoy your Medical hell you're so keen on jumping head first into.

Oooh sounds fun, send me a card.

35   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 26, 2:01pm

Well if I was homeless then I'd be in douchebag heaven getting all of the benefits of being Liberally Destitute.

37   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 26, 2:08pm

What doesn't make sense, that I was once Young and invincible and didn't find insurance even at $35 a month enticing?

I really expected the SMART Liberals would have kicked in by now, and we would have a Socialized Government not for profit healthcare in this country by now. But that was before the Liberals heard a lecture about Keynesian economics and got all money smarter than you, on us.

38   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 26, 2:10pm

I've already made my mind up, I don't want the American Greed based healthcare system laying on finger on me. I'll get treatment in another country if I get sick.
YOu guys creep me out waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much to trust my healthcare to that laughing Hyena Jackyl Pelosi.

NO SALE!

39   Tenpoundbass   2014 Mar 26, 2:17pm
